A peek inside!
A full color info booklet listed all of the items in November’s box, along with photos and descriptions for each one. — November’s theme was “Thanksgiving Feast”!
Bonchi Ponsuke Arare Crackers
Arare is a traditional bite-sized Japanese cracker made with glutinous rice. These ones from Bonchi are flavored with a hint of sesame sauce, making them a bit sweeter than conventional versions.
Calbee Jagabee Osatsubee Sweet Potato Chips
These crunchy potato snacks are made with real sweet potatoes and shaped like actual french fries. They come in a resealable package that’s great for taking on the go and sharing with friends. I just wish the ingredients were in English so I knew if they were vegan-friendly!
Furuta Gudetama White Chocolate Bar
Everyone’s favorite “lazy egg”, Gudetama, is featured on the wrapper of this candy bar. It consists of crunchy wafers and chocolate cream all covered in creamy white chocolate coating.
Meiji Gochi Sour Plum Gummies
These special edition plum flavored gummies are both sweet and sour. They’re extra chewy and covered in a layer of sweet sugar crystals for added, well, sweetness.
Kanro Pure Gummy Mixed Berry Flavor
Another gummy candy, these ones are mixed berry flavored and shaped like little hearts. They’re made with real fruit and dipped in a slightly sour powder coating.
Osatsu Doki Sweet Potato Chips – Apple Pie Flavor
A seasonal treat made from real Kyushu golden senpusu sweet potatoes. These crisps are dried and seasoned with a lightly sweet flavor, making them both sweet and savory. Yum!
Coris Plum Chewy Candy
These little round chewy candies have a small air bubble in the center, making them extra soft and chewy! They’re plum flavored and have a hint of sourness, but mostly sweet.
Kit Kat Cranberry Almond Minibar
A limited edition Kit Kat bar featuring chunks of almonds and dried cranberries paired with the traditional Kit Kat wafers and coated in real dark chocolate. Mmm!
Bourbon Bit Chocolate Crunch
This bite-sized chocolate snack consists of crunchy almonds and puffed corn, all covered in milk chocolate.
Pine Sherbet Pero Fun Dip Lollipop
Similar to Fun Dip here in the US, this candy consists of a lollipop and a sherbet flavored dipping powder. Just give the lollipop a lick, then dip it into the powder for a flavor explosion. 😉
If you’re a fan of Japanese snacks & sweets, Japan Candy Box is the subscription box you need! Since none of the packaging included English text/ingredients, the info booklet was a BIG help in figuring out exactly what each snack was made of and/or would taste like. There was a nice variety of different snacks and the Thanksgiving theme made it extra fun. 🙂
