Let’s see what’s in the January 2019 Kawaii Box!
Everything was shipped in a small pink & white box with the Kawaii Box logo in the center.
A peek inside!
An info sheet listed all of the items in January’s box, along with drawings and brief descriptions for each one.
Moomin Plushie
I’ve seen this character before, but wasn’t too sure who/what he was. According to the info sheet, the Moomins are a “carefree and adventurous family living in their house in Moominvalley”. A quick Google search tells me that they’re Finnish “trolls”, though some sources also say their hippos. So… I’m still not entirely sure what they are. 😉 Either way, this guy is super soft and comes with a little suction cup to stick him in your car window.
Candy Shaped Mini Highlighters
How sweet are these little candy-shaped highlighters? There were six in all, each in a different pretty pastel color. My daughters immediately asked if they could have them and have been drawing brightly colored hearts and rainbows all morning. 🙂
Korean Mini Masking Tape Set
These are the tiniest rolls of washi tape I’ve ever seen! The set includes six different rolls featuring sea creatures, hearts, food, countries, and more. It even has it’s own little tape dispenser to make them easier to roll out without any wrinkles. Use the tape to decorate notebooks, wrap presents, and decorate your belongings.
Cardcaptor Sakura Star Wand Pen
From the product description I found online — “CardCaptor Sakura is a super popular Japanese manga and anime. This pen looks like the evolved form of the Sealing Wand: the Star Wand, which can turn cards into special Sakura Cards. The top is a round circle with a yellow star in it and small wings on the outside, made of rubbery material.” This was another item my kiddos immediately scooped up and ran off to play with.
Hungry Whale Paper Punch
This hungry whale loves to eat paper. — Just place a sheet inside his “mouth”, push the pink lever, and he leaves behind an adorable cupid-shaped “hole”. Awww!
Dessert Cake Sticker Set
These colorful stickers feature a variety of tasty Japanese treats including donuts, puff pastries, and ice cream. They have metallic gold detailing and are great for scrapbooks, journals, notebooks, and more.
Kawaii Animal Spray Bottle
I wasn’t quite sure what I was going to use this mini reusable spray bottle for, but my daughters solved that problem by asking to use it as “pretend hair spray” for themselves and their dolls. Perfect solution!
Kawaii Praise Stamp Set
These teeny tiny wooden stamps are a fun way to give praise or add some kawaii to your letters and journals. The kit includes 5 different stamps and a little pink ink pad.
Kracie Fushigi Hakken Mystery Ball DIY Candy
This DIY candy kit allows you to make colorful jello drops that feel super fun when you hold them and are chewy & juicy when eaten. The kit includes all the necessary ingredients, tools, and instructions — just add water and start creating.
Squishy Tofu Charm
I saved my personal favorite item for last. — A squishy TOFU charm!! When I saw it sitting in the box, I already thought it was adorable… but when I read that it’s tofu… well, I was smitten. <3
What a fun collection of super sweet items from Kawaii Box! My 6-year-olds were particularly drawn to the candy highlighters, kawaii spray bottle, Cardcaptor Sakura pen, washi tape, and stamp sets, while I claimed ownership of the hungry whale punch and tofu charm. 🙂 Such a fun box!
