I’m all about trying healthy new snacks, so when KIND offered to send me some of their Healthy Grains Clusters to try out, I was more than happy to give ’em a try.
KIND firmly believes that if you can’t pronounce an ingredient, you probably shouldn’t be eating it. That’s why all of their products contain only “ingredients you can see & pronounce” (as proudly stated on their packaging!). Their granola, as well as their popular snack bars, are all made with 100% whole grains, fruits, and nuts — no refined sugar, no artificial flavors — nothing but all natural snackin’ goodness!
I was sent three bags of their vegan-friendly (not all of their flavors are) Healthy Grains Clusters and I couldn’t wait to dig in!
Here’s a closer look at the bags — I love packaging that lets you see exactly what the food looks like before purchasing it. No exaggerated photos “enlarged to show texture” here! What you see is what you get… And I see big ol’ clusters of tasty goodness.
Fiber? Check. Omega 3’s galore? Check. Non-GMO and Gluten-free? Check and check!
I decided to go with the Cinnamon Oat Clusters with Flax Seeds for my inaugural bowl.
This is definitely my ideal granola — super crunchy, an abundance of clusters, packed with healthy whole grains, and sweet, but not too sweet — perfection!
My only complaint about this (and granola in general) is the suggested serving size of 1/3 cup. Um, no way am I just eating less than a half cup of this stuff. Not gonna happen. “My” serving size is at least a full cup. (Needless to say, granola doesn’t last very long in this house. 😉 )
