May’s Kloverbox arrived a bit later than usual (due to a delay with one of the products), but it still managed to slide into home right before the start of the new month.
If you’re new here, Kloverbox is a monthly subscription box that features eco-friendly products ranging anywhere from snacks and personal products to makeup, household goods, and more. The purpose of the box is to introduce you to “cleaner” versions of the products you use on a daily basis. The subscription is $25/month (shipping included) or less with longer commitments. Let’s see what’s in the May 2015 Kloverbox!
As always, the box was shipped via 2-day priority mail and included a personalized thank you note inside.
The theme for May’s box was “I’m Walking on Sunshine! Woahh Oh!”. (And don’t it feel good?)
Preserve Triple Razor System ($8.50) – This super eco-friendly razor has a handle made from 100% recycled yogurt cups! Even the packaging is made from renewable sources and can be reused as a travel case. The triple blades are long-lasting and feature a lubrication strip containing Vitamin E and aloe for a smooth shave.
Delizioso Skin Care TARA Adorned Blushing Mousse ($29.95) – A weightless, all natural tinted mousse that can be used to add color to lips, cheeks, and even eyes. The formula is vegan, gluten-free, and made with certified organic ingredients. It smells really nice too!
Shave With Benefits Shaving Foam ($14.99) – The info card lists the retail price for this as $12, but on their site it’s on sale for $14.99, so I’m going with that. (Either way, seems pretty pricey for such a small bottle of shaving foam!) That said, it IS made with only sustainable, eco-friendly ingredients including plant botanicals. I received the bergamot & pink grapefruit scent which smells amazing.
Eco-Armour Soothing Citrus Lip Butter ($5.99) – 100% plant-based lip butter made with non-GMO soybean oil, cocoa & shea butters, and almond & apricot oils to hydrate dry lips. It also has an SPF 15 to protect them from the sun.
Pure Organic Ancient Grains Bar ($2.19) – This organic, gluten-free energy bar is made with ancient grains including flax, hemp, quinoa and amaranth. It’s packed with plant-based protein, fiber, and is lower in sugar than most energy bars. It’s vegan too!
At first, I thought May’s Kloverbox seemed a little lacking, but I realized that a lot of the items are just physically on the small side this month. The value is still definitely there, with all the items totaling about $62! Woah!

I was a little bit disappointed with this box. The value is there and I will use all of the products, but it didn’t have the WOW factor Kloverbox usually has. This is only my second box, but I’ve read a ton of reviews for it and signed up for 6 months. I can’t wait to see what’s in next months box.
