It’s May 2016 LaRitzy unboxing time!
If you’re not aware, LaRitzy is a subscription box that sends you an assortment of cruelty free vegan beauty products every month. Each box will contain 4 to 5 full and “luxury size” products. Items can include anything from hair care, to body lotion, to nail polish, and everything in between.
Subscriptions are $24.99/month, or less with multi-month commitments. Shipping is free to the US, $5 to Canada.
Let’s see what’s in the May 2016 LaRitzy box!
The box!
A peek inside. — May’s box was themed “Summa Summa” and featured some of their favorite summertime essentials.
An info card listed all of the items included, along with brief descriptions and retail values for each one.
Manna Kadar Liplocked Priming Gloss Stain in “Lucky” ($24) – First, this was listed on the info card as a Bronzer/Highlight Split Pan (oops?). Second, the shade is a lot lighter/pinker than it looks in my photo. It’s more of a pale pink/nude color, which I really like. Liplocked works as a primer, stain, and gloss all in one. The formula is allergy tested and paraben-free.
Jacq’s Organics Carrot Seed Face Toner ($15) – Another product that was listed incorrectly on the info card… The card referred to this as a “sweet orange” toner, but I received carrot seed. Strangely, Jacq’s Organics’ website lists a “carrot con leche” toner whose ingredient list is totally devoid of actual carrot. Weird. Either way, this toner is used to gently and effectively soothe & hydrate your skin after cleansing.
Glam Her Booth Foundation or Powder Brush ($9) – This all-purpose brush features soft, luxury synthetic bristles with a wooden handle sourced from sustainable Birch forests. It has dense, rounded bristles to help you achieve a natural finish with better coverage than a traditional foundation brush.
Bellapierre Cosmetics Diamond Top & Base Coat ($15) – For a shiny, long-lasting salon quality mani, this top & base coat will do the job. Apply a base layer to your clean nails, allow to dry, then apply 2 coats of your favorite polish. Once dry, seal it in with another top coat and enjoy the shine.
Aside from the info card mixups, I’m happy with my May 2016 LaRitzy box. I personally would have preferred a pretty, summer-inspired polish instead of the top coat, but no biggie. As always, the total value was impressive at just over $60 in products.
