May Lil’ Bear Book Club time! This month I decided to mix it up and go with the picture book option (as opposed to my usual board books).
If you’re not aware, Lil’ Bear Book Club is a newer subscription box that sends 2 to 4 children’s books to your door every month. There are two different subscription types to choose from: board books (3-4 per box) or picture books (2-4 per box). Whichever plan you choose, each book will be gift wrapped for your child to open. This also makes it great for gift-giving for holidays, birthdays, etc. A portion of the sale of each Lil’ Bear Book Club subscription is always donated to children in need.
Subscriptions are $16.99/month for board books and $17.99/month for picture books. Discounts are available on multi-month plans. — For a limited time, you can save 20% on your first month with coupon code “TEDDYBEAR“.
Let’s see what’s in my May 2016 Lil’ Bear Book Club box!
As always, everything was shipped in a big white box with a Lil’ Bear Book Club sticker on the lid.
A peek inside!
Each of the books were individually gift wrapped in bright, colorful paper. Such a nice touch!
Duck & Goose Go to the Beach by Tad Hills ($11.24) – Not only is this a great book, but it’s also autographed by the author! Very cool. We have a nice little collection of Duck & Goose books, but luckily this title was a new one for us. It’s also the first hardcover D&G book we’ve gotten thus far. A nice addition to our growing library. 🙂
The Boss Baby by Marla Frazee ($14.49) – An extremely relatable tale that makes the comparison between a baby and a (very) demanding boss. The similarities are pretty hard to ignore once they’re all laid out. 😉 A cute book that both kiddos and parents can appreciate.
Mama’s Day with Little Gray by Aimee Reid ($15.16) – A sweet book featuring a mama elephant and her baby, Little Gray, who wonders what it would be like to trade places with her one day. Turns out, Little Gray would be just as kind and nurturing as mama. An ideal, mushy tale just in time for Mother’s Day!
I enjoyed May’s Lil’ Bear Book Club selections SO much more than last month’s box. All of the titles were ones I’d happily read to my kiddos — not a bad one in the bunch. Oh, and it was super cool to receive an autographed book too. The total value (using Amazon prices) was over $40 — the highest month yet!
