Little Passports Review & Giveaway August 2013

Little Passports is a fun subscription service that takes your child on an interactive adventure across the country or around the world (or both!). Each month your child will receive a package of goodies that teaches them about “geography, history, culture, and language in a fun and memorable way”.

There are two different subscription options available: The World Edition, which introduces your child to a new country every month (for children 5-10) and The USA Edition, which features 2 different states per month (for children 7-12). Each option comes with a different set of materials (World Edition comes with a mini suitcase, USA comes with a camera), so choose wisely! 😉

Little Passports was nice enough to let me choose which edition I would like for review. I chose the World. (How poetic!) Let’s see what I got!

First off, how adorable is this little suitcase? This gets sent with your first month of the World Edition. Every month you’ll be sent stickers for each country your child “visits”, which they can display on the outside of their case. Cute! (I should note that this is a cardboard suitcase… So don’t be tryin’ to travel with it, k?) It should also be noted that my first suitcase/box arrived super damaged (thanks, USPS!), so I emailed photos of it to Little Passports and they mailed me out a new one immediately. Yay for good customer service!

Inside the suitcase was everything your little one needs to begin his or her worldly travels: A letter from Sam & Sofia (their “tour guides”), a large world map, a boarding pass that includes access to online games, stickers, an activity sheet, a photo of Sam & Sofia, and of course — a little passport! Future country-specific mailings will include more letters, stickers, activities, photos, souvenirs (how cool!), and more!

I’ll definitely be hanging onto this for when the girls are old enough to enjoy it. It’s such a smart, fun way to learn about other countries… Maybe if this had been around when I was little I’d be a lot better with geography. (Let’s just say I would be incredibly embarrassed if I was ever asked to point out each state on a map… Let alone country…)
