My February Love With Food box was a bit delayed due to “inclement weather”, but it finally arrived (in tact) so all is well… Without further adieu, let’s check out the snackage!
If you’re not aware, Love With Food is one of the most affordable subscriptions out there. — It’s only $10/month (plus $2 shipping) for their “Tasting” box (this one). (You can actually try your first Tasting box for FREE!) They also have a “deluxe” box for $19.95/month (free shipping), as well as a 100% Gluten Free version. With every box purchased, Love With Food donates a meal to a person in need. Win, win!
Let’s see what’s in February’s Love With Food box!
The theme for February is Mardi Gras. It appears that there were 2 different versions of the Tasting Box this time — Bourbon Street (this one) and Carnival. The only difference as far as I can tell is 2 variations of snack bars (Bourbon got a Rise bar and Carnival got a Honey Stinger bar.)
The info card/sheet. I love that they include the ingredients right on there now. So convenient.
Boulder Canyon Olive Oil Kettle Chips – These chips are cooked in small batches using 100% olive oil. The only ingredients are potatoes, olive oil, and sea salt. I opened these up after dinner last night and they were crunchy and delicious. Mmm.
Monbana Traditional Hot Chocolate – I was excited to see that this hot cocoa is vegan-friendly. I’ve been drinking a ton of chocolate Silk warmed up in the microwave, but it’s nice to have a real hot chocolate to try. This contains 32% cocoa, plus sugar and vanilla.
Divine Milk Chocolate Squares – These sweet little pieces of milk chocolate are produced by the only fair trade chocolate company owned by cocoa farmers. Neat.
Dilettante Toffee Crunch Truffle Cremes – Chocolate candies made with butter toffee and almonds covered in a milk chocolate coating.
Snikiddy Baked Mac n’ Cheese Puffs – Old school cheese puffs with a healthier twist… These ones are baked, not fried and are made with real cheddar cheese. I let my girls have these for an after dinner snack and they totally approved.
Dolcetto Petites Lemon Wafer Bites – Crispy, all natural bite-sized wafer cookies filled with a creamy lemon filling. Another snack that’ll serve as a nice post-dinner treat for my kiddos.
Rise Protein Almond Honey Bar – This gluten-free snack bar has just 3 ingredients: almonds, honey, and whey protein isolate.
Tony Chachere’s Original Creole Seasoning – An MSG-free Creole seasoning made with red pepper, garlic, salt, and other spices. I kinda hate getting seasonings/spices in subscription boxes cos I rarely use ’em. Ah well.
Also included were coupons for Boulder Canyon and Rise bar. Plus — beads! I love when they include fun little non-food extras.
I’d say this month’s Love With Food box was a win. While there weren’t too many vegan items for me, I’m always happy to get more toddler-friendly snacks for my girls. The beads were a fun addition too.
If you’d like to sign up for Love With Food, they’re currently offering new members their first box for FREE (just pay $2 shipping)! No promo code needed — just click my link! I heard it also takes $10 off of the deluxe box as well!
