Let’s see what’s in the June 2015 Gluten-Free Love With Food Box!
The familiar big red box!
This month’s box was curated by G-Free Foodie and its theme was “Saturday in the Park”. The info card/booklet revealed everything included in the box, as well as full ingredient lists and nutritional info for each item.
A look inside — so many colorful snacks!
Buddha Bowl Himalayan Pink Popcorn by Lesser Evil – Organic popcorn made with non-GMO corn, raw coconut oil, and Himalayan pink salt. Yum! The whole bag has just 100 calories and has an impressive 5 grams of fiber.
Barnana Chewy Banana Bites – Now this is a healthy snack… The ingredients? Organic bananas, organic banana powder. That’s it. I’ve tried these once before and they’re pretty good… Chewy & sweet.
Kutoa Chocolate Banana Bar – A hearty snack bar made with whole fruits, chocolate, and seeds including flax & chia. It has 5 grams of protein and zero grams of refined sugar.
Sheffa Everything Savory Bar – This “everything” bar consists of whole grains, chickpeas, onion powder, dried carrots, garlic powder, and other savory ingredients. Meh. Any snack bar that includes garlic and onions is just not for me.
Schar Honeygrams – Crispy gluten-free graham crackers with a touch of honey.
Paleo Baking Co. Paleo Hazelnut Cake & Muffin Mix – A paleo, vegan, and gluten-free cake mix made with hazelnut flour, coconut flour, sea salt, and baking soda. To prepare the mix you’ll need to add eggs, honey, coconut oil, and water.
Alternative Baking Co. Fudge Indulgence Cookie – Heck yeah! I LOVE Alternative Baking Co.! All of their cookies are vegan and I’ve enjoyed every flavor I’ve tried. I haven’t seen this fudge one before and as expected, it was delicious.
Simply 7 Quinoa Chips – These have been in a TON of subscription boxes lately, but I like ’em, so it’s okay. They’re lightly salted, have a nice crunch, and you’d never know they’re made with quinoa.
Crazy Hot Popchips – These popped potato snacks have half the fat of regular chips. Crazy Hot is a brand new flavor that promises to “ignite your tastebuds”. Sadly (for me), these contain dairy so I won’t be able to partake in the… ignition?
Pik Nik Original Shoestring Potatoes – Oh wow… I didn’t know they still sold these in “can form”. I wouldn’t say these are much of a healthy snack, but at least they’re made with GMO-free potatoes. Plus, it totally goes with this month’s picnic theme.
Coupons – I usually don’t include coupons in my reviews, but this one was for a FREE package of Ruby Rocket’s Veggie & Fruit Pops! Plus another one for BOGO pops. Nice!
Great box! I wasn’t totally sure about it when I saw the initial spoilers, but there were some really good snacks in there. My favorite was definitely the Alternative Baking Co. cookie. I’m kinda bummed that they didn’t have more of ’em for sale in their shop. Ah well. I really don’t NEED any more cookies anyway. 😉
Love With Food has kindly given me an exclusive deal to share with my readers: Save $20 on any 12-month subscription when you use the code “2LITTLEROSEBUDS” (must be all caps) at checkout! This includes all 3 box options (Tasting Box, Deluxe, and Gluten-Free). Love With Food recently lowered their prices, so an annual plan is a better deal than ever! 🙂
