I haven’t reviewed the gluten-free Love With Food box since they first debuted it last August. When they offered to send me one this month, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it — especially since this particular box was going to be gluten-free and vegan!
If you’re not aware, Love With Food is one of the most affordable subscriptions out there. — It’s only $10/month (plus $2 shipping) for their “Tasting” box. (You can actually try your first Tasting box for FREE!) They also have a “deluxe” box for $19.95/month (free shipping), as well as a 100% Gluten Free version (this one!) for $29/month. With every box purchased, Love With Food donates a meal to a person in need. Win, win!
Let’s see what’s in March’s Gluten-Free Love With Food Box!
The gluten-free box was a lot larger than the regular Tasting Box that I’m used to. It’s hard to tell by this photo, but trust me. It’s big.
A glance inside reveals a whole lotta gluten-free goodness.
March’s box was curated by Megan Roosevelt, a plant-based dietitian and founder of the site Healthy Grocery Girl.
The info card/booklet reveals everything included in the box, as well as full ingredient lists and nutritional info for each item.
Turbana Plantain Chips – I received these in another subscription box a while back and was surprised by how much I enjoyed them. They’re made with just 3 ingredients: green plantains, vegetable oil, and salt. So good!
Bob’s Red Mill Gluten-Free Pie Crust – A pie crust mix that’s wheat-free, gluten-free, and vegan. Just add butter and/or shortening and cold water to make 2 9-inch pie crusts. I’ve never made my own pie (aside from chocolate ones with graham crusts), so I’m a little nervous to try. Hopefully I can pull it off.
24 Carrot Orange Fruit Snack by Fruigees – I opened this up while taking photos for this review and holy crapola was it good! So sweet & orange-y! It’s made with organic juice from grapes, carrots, apples, and oranges. Mmm!
Manitoba Harvest Hemp Hearts – I love these! 100% raw shelled hemp seeds perfect for adding to smoothies, cereal, salads, etc. I usually just sprinkle mine on granola for a little extra boost of protein.
Purely Elizabeth Original Ancient Grain Granola – Speaking of granola… This is a slow baked granola made with organic quinoa, amaranth, and chia seeds. It contains no refined sugar and is instead sweetened with coconut sugar.
Hail Merry Strawberry Macaroons – I was SO excited to see these in my box! Hail Merry macaroons are insanely delicious and I’ve yet to try the strawberry flavor. They contain all natural ingredients and pretty much melt in your mouth. So, so good!
Two Moms in the Raw Almond Butter Cacao Truffle – When I saw these listed in the Love With Food shop, I immediately ordered them. It was definitely a gamble, since I had no idea what they tasted like, but I figured why not… Can’t really go wrong with almond butter and cacao, right? Right! I devoured the truffle and immediately commended myself on such a wise purchasing decision. 😉
Bops Sea Salt Crisps – Oven-baked potato crisps with 65% less fat than regular potato chips. I’ve had these before, but they weren’t my favorite. They weren’t bad, but not particularly awesome either.
Rhythm Superfoods Kale Chips in Zesty Nacho – Every time I get kale chips in a subscription box, I think “maybe this time I’ll like ’em”… But it never happens. This flavor sounds promising though, so… Maybe this time?
The Good Bean Roasted Chickpeas with Sea Salt – A healthy snack made with non-GMO chickpeas and a touch of sea salt. One serving contains an impressive 4 grams of both protein and fiber.
Miracle Tree Moringa Organic Tea – Organic tea made with moringa leaves and apple & cinnamon flavors. Packed with antioxidants.
The Spice Hunter Organic Mexican Seasoning – A salt-free spice blend perfect for tacos, grilled veggies, and more.
Okay, this box totally showed me that Love With Food is 100% capable of making a vegan-friendly box and needs to make that an option ASAP! I loved not having to cross my fingers and hope the box had at least a couple vegan treats… ALL of them were and it was a glorious unboxing experience. 😉
