Phew! I didn’t think I’d ever see my November Love With Food box. First, they notified me that it would be late and credited my account with 200 points for the trouble. Then the winter storm hit and delayed the box even more. Finally it arrived yesterday, in a big ol’ heap of equally tardy boxes.
Love With Food is one of the most affordable subscriptions out there. — It’s only $10/month (plus $2 shipping) for their “Tasting” box (this one). They also have a “deluxe” box for $19.95/month (free shipping), as well as a 100% Gluten Free version. With every box purchased, Love With Food donates a meal to a person in need.
November’s theme is “Baby, it’s Cold Outside” and features snacks “sure to warm your heart and home”. I’m not quite sure how a snack can warm my home, but if it’ll save us money on our gas bill, I’m all ears.
Okay, let’s check out the snackage!
Oh yeah, what’s a Love With Food review without a shot of the little red box itself? Welp… there it is.
Chipz Happen Cinnful Sweet Heat Gourmet Tortilla Chipz – I’m excited to try these! They’re all natural, gluten-free, corn chips flavored with sugar, cinnamon, and cayenne. Sweetness with a little kick. Oh, and they’re vegan too!
Fruit Bliss Soft Dried Mini Figs – I’ve never been a huge fan of figs, but I’m willing to give these a try. They contain no additional ingredients or preservatives — just non-GMO figs and water.
Jer’s Groupies Milk Chocolate Peanut Cluster – Can’t argue with a chocolate peanut cluster. Well, unless you’re vegan. This little treat will be going to my mom.
Dick & Jane States and Capitals Educational Snacks Cookies – I really could have used these in grade school. Hell, I could still use them now. Each cookie includes an outline of a state, along with its name and capital. Neat.
Marlo’s Midnight Soft Baked Biscotti – Tender biscotti made with cocoa, espresso, and real chocolate chips.
Guylian Truffles – Two flavors were included in the box: Milk Chocolate Truffle and Dark Praline. These truffles are made with rich Belgian chocolate and their signature hazelnut filling.
Whole Spice All Purpose Salt Seasoning – This is a blend of salt, sugar, celery, chili, garlic, onion, tumeric, black pepper, and oregano. Eh… Not too thrilled by spices.
Laiki Red Rice Crackers – These crackers have just 3 ingredients: wholegrain red rice, sustainably farmed palm oil, and sea salt. One package is only 100 calories, so it makes for a nice mid-day snack.
Also included in this month’s box was a booklet of 30 recipes from Rachael Ray.
I wasn’t too excited by the assortment of snacks this month. Mainly because there weren’t many vegan-friendly ones. Okay, there were 4, but since I’m not a big fan of figs or seasoning salt it feels like less. Ah well, can’t win ’em all.

I’ve got to say, I wasn’t thrilled to see the seasoning salt.. but I think it was my favorite thing in the box! You can really taste the fresh celery seed in there, it was delicious!
