Love With Food time again! September’s theme is “Spice Up Your Life” and features snacks with a little spicy kick.
Love With Food is only $10/month (plus $2 shipping) for their “Tasting” box (this one). They also have a “deluxe” box for $19.95/month (free shipping), as well as a new Gluten Free version. With every box purchased, Love With Food donates a meal to a person in need. Everyone wins!
The last two boxes have included an info “brochure” instead of their old card format. I appreciate the extra nutritional stats that fit inside, but I sorta miss the simpleness of the card for some reason. Eh. Moving on…
Churro Kettle Corn by Love With Food – I love kettle corn and the addition of cinnamon to it made it all the more tasty. It’s a perfect autumn-y snack and though it could have been a bit crispier, I went ahead and ordered more from the Love With Food shop. It’ll make a perfect companion to some pumpkin spice coffee or tea. Mmm.
Mandy’s Rich Chocolate Cookie Thins – All natural crispy chocolate cookie thins sprinkled with sugar. I was hoping these would be vegan, but alas, they were not. Ah well.
Shotwell Candy Co. 5 Spice Caramels – These little caramels are made with real chocolate, cinnamon, star anise, anise seed, ginger, and clove. Shotwell Candy makes all of their caramels without the use of any gross high fructose corn syrup.
Ziggy Marley Organics Sea Salt & Pepper Roasted Hempseeds – I’ve had plain hemp seed hearts, but I’ve never tried roasted hempseeds. I’ve seen mixed reviews, so I’m a little nervous to try them. Hopefully I like them cos they’re a good source of plant protein and those ever-important omega 3’s.
Amazing Grass Green Superfood – A gluten-free, vegan, raw superfood drink mix made with organic greens. I added this to my smoothie the other night and it gave it a bit of a “green” flavor, but nothing too unbearable.
Way Better Snacks Sweet Chili Corn Tortilla Chips – These chips are made with sprouted grains and seeds that allow your body to better absorb their nutrients. They’re vegan, gluten free, and made with non-GMO ingredients.
Fogg City Spice Co. Lemon Rosemary Seasoning – This is a blend of lemon, rosemary, black pepper, garlic, sea salt, sugar, and other spices. I’m not sure what I’ll use this on, but I do love anything with rosemary. Roasted veggies?
Maruso Ghost Soy Sauce – I’ve seen cooking shows mention the super spiciness of ghost chiles before, so I’m a little nervous to try this sauce. Maruso sauce is said to be thicker than traditional soy sauces and keeps your food from getting soggy.
I wasn’t a huge fan of Love With Food this month. Possibly because the “spice” theme just didn’t appeal to me? That said, I did really like the kettle corn. The rest was just kinda meh. Ah well, hopefully October’s theme will be a little more exciting. Maybe something autumn-y or Halloween inspired? *fingers crossed*
If you’d like to sign up for Love With Food, they’re currently offering new members their first box for FREE (just pay $2 shipping)! No promo code needed! I heard it also takes $10 off of the deluxe box as well!

This was probably my least favorite month so far, everything was just kind of bland

Agreed. :/

I get the Deluxe version of the box, so I received a few other additional products in my box. But I have to agree with you, this was my least favorite Love With Food box so far. I’m not a fan of Spicy things, I ended up giving half of my box away to a friend who LOVES spicy things.

Yeah, I’m hoping October’s “Monster Mash” theme is a lot more fun! 🙂
