Each box will include both full and sample sized products selected for the age of your baby or stage of your pregnancy. The items are chosen by fellow moms who understand the needs of both expectant women and growing babies. Everything in the box will be all natural, organic, and often eco-friendly.
Subscriptions are $39.99 (plus $5 shipping) for a Full Size Box, and $29.99 for a Petite. (For a limited time, you can get FREE shipping when you use coupon code “FRIEND123” at checkout!)
Let’s see what’s inside the September 2015 Mama-Baby Box!
Everything was shipped in a small white box with the Mama-Baby Box logo on top.
A peek inside! The pretty purple ribbon was a nice touch.
While there wasn’t an actual info card, they did include a little welcome note with an explanation of what to expect each month.
Since this was a review box, I wasn’t able to fill out a profile indicating my child’s/children’s age so I’m not sure what age this is geared towards. That said, my girls are 3 and we can use every item in the box so it worked out well!
Eco-Kids Sea Rocks Eco-Crayons – These eco-friendly crayons (“rocks”) are made with all natural ingredients consisting of soy wax, beeswax, carnauba wax, and natural earth pigments. While we currently own some of their “eco-dough” and like it just fine, I was a little nervous about these crayons after reading the negative reviews on Amazon. However, I honestly don’t see what all the complains were for. Most said that they crumbled and the colors didn’t show up… I just tried a few myself and while they don’t write as dark/bold as “normal” crayons, you can still clearly see the colors. They also didn’t crumble at all. Maybe they’ve improved them? Either way, I’m glad we got to try these out. Oh, and they smell good too!
NeatCheeks – I received these in another box recently and I’m definitely a fan. They’re natural face wipes infused with stevia to give them a sweet flavor so your little one won’t run away when you try to wipe their face.
Bobo’s Oat Bar in Peanut Butter – I was excited to see a vegan-friendly treat in the box! This bar is made with all natural ingredients including organic rolled oats, peanut butter, and non-refined cane sugar. It’s pretty large and actually has 2 servings per bar. However, I ate the whole thing in one sitting and have no regrets. 😉
Luna Star Naturals Pinki Naturali Mineral Nail Polish – A 100% odor free, non-toxic, water-based nail polish for kids. No polish remover is needed for removal — it just peels right off when you want. The packaging is super cute and while I wish we would have gotten any other color than white, I’m still happy to have been introduced to this cool brand.
Aura Cacia Organic Milk & Oat Bath – This soothing organic bath powder is made with real milk and lavender oil for a super relaxing soak.
Avalon Organics Vitamin C Renewal Soothing Lip Balm – Packed with antioxidants, this natural lip balm soothes and softens dry, chapped lips. It’s free from parabens, harsh preservatives, synthetic colors & fragrance, phthalates, and other icky stuff.
Peace Stone – A shiny black stone featuring the word “Peace” to serve as a reminder to… well, be peaceful. 😉
Assorted Teas – Three different samples of tea blends were included: Traditional Medicinals Cup of Calm, Yogi Soothing Caramel Bedtime, and Earth Mama’s Peaceful Mama Blend.
Overall, I’m very impressed with the items included in September’s Mama-Baby Box. I’m not sure what age they go up to (it doesn’t say on their site), but we’ll be able to use everything in the box and my girls just turned 3. At first I thought the monthly cost seemed a bit high, but many of the items were definitely on the pricy side (the crayons sell for $12 on Amazon, the lip balm $7, the polish $8, etc.). That said, I’d say the value probably breaks even with the cost, which is fine considering the nice curation and quality of everything included.
