Mia Tempo is a monthly subscription box featuring all natural/organic spa and beauty products. Their mission is to provide you some much needed “me time” with a relaxing, spa-like experience each and every month. What could be better than that? This —> With each box sold, Mia Tempo donates a portion of the proceeds to non-profit organizations that empower women. Sounds good to me!
This month they debuted their first “Limited Edition Signature Box”, which is the box that I’m lucky enough to be reviewing. Lucky, because this is the first box in which ALL of the products areย completely vegan/gluten-free! Yay!!
Thankfully (for me), this box was heavier on the “spa” products than beauty, which makes me a very happy camper. Alright, let’s see what’s inside!
That’s what I saw when I broke the tissue paper seal. Gotta love a nicely packed (full) box! It smelled quite nice too. ๐
Buffalo Gal Organics Dead Sea Bath Soakย (Amber & Fig) – These bath salts smell SO nice. Now that the weather’s starting to get cooler, I’m totally looking forward to gettin’ my bath on a lot more. This is made with essential oils and organic herbs to ease you right into relaxation mode. I also discovered that the company is based in Wheatfield, NY, which is practically right around the corner from me. Cool!
Paddywax Library Collection Jane Austin Candle – I love candles! This one is a 2-wick soy wax candle in a cute little reusable travel tin. The scent is a floral blend of gardenia, tuberose, and jasmine. Every Paddywax candle is hand-poured and they never use synthetic fragrances.
Buffalo Gal Organics Cream Body Scrub (Amber & Fig) – I couldn’t find this exact product on the Buffalo Gal website, and it’s listed as “Moroccan Fig Body Scrub” (also not on their site) on my info card, so I’m a little confused. I’m thinking maybe “Amber & Fig” is a newer blend that’s not on the site yet? I dunno. (UPDATE: I have since learned that Buffalo Gal made this scent exclusively for Mia Tempo! That explains my confusion!) Anywhooo… This is an all-natural scrub that can be used on your whole body. I have super sensitive skin, so I think I’ll be using it to scrub my not-so-sensitive feet.
Tea Forte – I love these! I’ve always wanted to try Tea Forte (based solely on their adorable packaging, of course). I received 2 different bags pyramid infusers: One Vienna Cinnamon and one Orchid Vanilla. Can’t wait to try them!
Wild Carrot Herbals Wild Rose Face Mask – This is a small, one-use packet of powder that you mix with rose honey & water. I have no idea what rose honey is, so I’m just going to add water and see if that will suffice. My fingers are crossed that it’s safe for sensitive skin. (Wish me luck!)
Wild Carrot Herbals Wild Rose Eye Cream – I suppose it’s time to accept the fact that I need stuff like this now that I’m in my (gulp) mid-30’s. Yep, it’s time to start using eye cream. (Next up: A Medical Alert bracelet.) Apparently rose essential oil is one of the safest oils to use on the skin. It fights fine lines and wrinkles by protecting the delicate tissues around your eyes. Neato.
Buffalo Gal Organics Deep Moisture Lotion (Amber & Fig) – Dang, Buffalo Gal Organics is ALL up IN this box! (Good thing I like this scent!) This is an all-natural lotion that can be used wherever your little heart desires.
MyChelle Dermaceuticals – These are little trial sized samples of a 3-step cleansing system. I didn’t see them on the info card, so I’m thinking maybe it was a bonus. There’s a Creamy Pumpkin Cleanser (step 1), Tropical Skin Smoother (step 2), and Ultra Hyaluronic Hydrating Serum (step 3). I’m not a fan of switching up my face wash routine (the whole sensitive skin thing), so I’ll probably pass these along to someone else.
This was my first experience with Mia Tempo, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I was hoping I wouldn’t get a ton of beauty products I’d never use. That said, I was definitely pleased with the items I received. Not only because they were vegan (BIG plus though!), but because I’ll actually use most of the things in my box. I’m even looking forward to using a few of them. Yay!
Christina at Mia Tempo was nice enough to agree to give one of my readers a chance to win one free month of much-needed “Me Time”!

I haven’t subscribed to any beauty boxes, since I am picky when it comes to products that I will use on my face and/or body. So as long as the products were good quality, non-cheap, and reputable then various soaps, body washes, or even lotions would be my choice.

By the beach, with a good book!

I’d read a YA fantasy book. So many good choice and no time. But I love my kids and baby, even though free time is nonexistent right now. This box looks amazing. I’m so impressed!

A whole day to myself? I could go crazy worrying about my kid. A few hours would be great for using my at home spa treatment and catching up with sanity and a very large green tea with honey though. ๐

I would take a shower alone! That in itself would be awesome. I’d go have my hair cut and styled. Then I’d get the book I’ve been dying to read uninturrupted and take it to a coffee shop and read. After that I might go for a walk and then I’d love to have dinner and drinks with my best friend.

I would love some time to work on the garden or read. Followed by a nice quite bath and home spa treatments. If it were raining on my free day I may create inside instead of gardening.
