Let’s see what’s in the August 2015 (Half) MoonBox!
Everything was shipped in a plain brown box stamped with the Gaia Collective logo on the side.
A peek inside. — Definitely a unique box!
August’s box featured a Pieces full moon ritual — Root Down to Rise Up. It focuses on the feet and involves standing barefoot on the earth under the full moon while focusing on a positive life vision for yourself. Once you’ve settled on a vision, you’ll then soak your feet in a bath of epsom salts (provided) and crystals (also provided). When negative thoughts start to creep in, wash them away with the included Moon Beams soap.
An info card of sorts was included which highlighted all of the items in the box.
Epsom Salt Soak – These are provided for pouring into a warm bath for your feet as described in the ritual above.
11 Sacred Steps – This card lists the 11 steps you’ll need to follow as you set up your sacred space prior to performing the ritual.
Fruits to the Roots Walking on Moonbeams Soap – I have no idea what this is made of, but it smells incredible. Very earthy, clean, and uplifting. You’ll use this soap to wash away the negative thoughts that creep up during your soak.
Crystals in Dried Honeysuckle – Two crystals were included in a pouch of dried honeysuckle: Septarian (on the left) is a grounding stone that allows for better tolerance and patience, while Lapis Lazuli (the blue one) encourages honesty of the spirit, and in the spoken and written word.
Selenite Wand – Selenite is known for bringing mental clarity, clearing confusion and revealing the bigger picture behind problems. It’s also very protective and can shield a person or space from outside negative influences. This can be used in the ritual, but make sure not to get it wet as it’s a soft mineral and can dissolve in water.
Essential Oil Roll-On – I just tested a bit of this on my wrists and it smells amazing! It’s a blend of cedarwood, jasmine, melissa, bergamot, seaweed absolute, and clary sage. I would have sworn there was lemongrass in it, but whatever it is that’s making it smell like that is awesome. LOVE it.
While I’m not too sure I’d ever practice rituals myself, I do appreciate the thought and curation put into August’s MoonBox. Just handling and breathing in the scents from all of the items makes me feel a little more at ease and grounded. I can definitely see the benefit in these types of spiritual rituals and this box makes it so easy to help guide yourself through them.Browse more Spiritual Boxes in my Subscription Box Directory
August 2015 MoonBox Review
A unique subscription box to say the least! It’s obvious that a lot of care was put into the curation and that’s definitely where the value lies. While I may not actually perform the ritual (it looks like the date has passed, so I don’t think I can anyway?), I’m in LOVE with the essential oil roll-on. 😉
