Let’s see what’s in my August 2016 MunchPak!
The box!
MunchPak doesn’t include a standard info card with their boxes, but they do let you know who was responsible for packing it. This one was packed by Alex.
A peek inside!
Coney Island Classics Jalapeño Poppers Kettle Corn – Small batch popcorn made in Brooklyn, NY using all natural ingredients including non-GMO corn, Himalayan pink salt, and dehydrated jalapeños. It’s produced in a 100% nut-free facility and is both gluten free and vegan friendly (yay!).
Richester Amori Cookies – These chocolate cream-filled cookies are like the Brazilian equivalent of Oreos, with the adorable addition of little hearts imprinted on each one. The ingredients — like Oreos –appear to be vegan, which of course I’m stoked about. 🙂
Oblita Coquet Wafer – A peanut butter filled wafer cookie covered in milk chocolate and puffed rice. Made in Argentina.
Coris Ramune Original Flavor – Judging by the whistling cartoon ducks on the package, I’m guessing these donut-shaped candies make whistle noises when you blow into the little hole in their center. Neato.
Takaoka Choco Flakes – Chocolate flavored corn flakes from Japan made with real cocoa powder and malt extract.
Parle Top Spin Crackers – Crispy crackers from India “with a twist”. I’m not 100% sure, but based on a glance at the ingredients list I’m guessing the “twist” is black cumin.
Santé Cardamom Cashews – Whole cashews dusted with pure cane sugar and aromatic cardamom. They’re both gluten-free and vegan-friendly.
Haribo Peaches – Sugar-coated peach flavored gummies imported from Turkey.
Wai Lana Thai Curry & Lime Cassava Chips – 100% natural cassava chips made in Indonesia using non-GMO ingredients. They contain 30% less fat than traditional potato chips and are free of gluten, dairy, soy, and preservatives.
Oblita Noir – Another Oblita treat from Argentina, this one features dark chocolate wafer cookies layered with vanilla flavored cream.
I was excited to see a few vegan-friendly snacks in August’s MunchPak! For some reason, the majority of foreign snacks tend to include either milk or gelatin, so I got really lucky this month. 🙂 — If you’d like to try out MunchPak, you can save $2 on your first box with coupon code “ROSEBUDS“!
