Beauteque is an online cosmetics and skincare retailer whose mission is to bring you high quality products from around the world. Many of their products come directly from places such as Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and France. All items are tested for quality and only the best are chosen to be sold in their shop.
They’ve recently (as in this month!) started offering a customizable Beauty Bag as a way of sampling some of their great products. Every beauty bag will have a certain selection of products — BUT — you get to choose which variations/colors you’d like of each one.
Beauteque Beauty Bags are currently in a “trial” phase and only available for July, September, and November. In January they will begin the monthly service. You can still order July’s bag here for $22 shipped (in US, elsewhere is more) and all 3 months can be preordered with a 3-month subscription for $60.
Alright, let’s check out my July Beauty Bag!
The bag was shipped in a white padded envelope with a Beauteque sticker on it.
A welcome note introduced me to the very first Beauteque Beauty Bag!
The information card came in the form of a neat fold-out “passport”. Fun!
All of the products included a brief description of what they were, as well as how to use them. Since many of the products are from different countries, you’ll notice that the text on the packaging often isn’t in English. This “passport” definitely helps!
The Bag – Everything came in this brightly colored striped bag. It’s pretty roomy and I love the pink & purple theme goin’ on. The QR code on the tag takes you to a “crash course on the contents of your BB bag”. Cool. (You can also view all of the July bag products/variations here.)
Skinfood Herb & Shea Butter Hand Cream – I have a ton of hand creams to get through, so I’ll be saving this, but it sounds nice. It has a blend of herbal extracts (lavender, chamomile, peppermint) and shea butter to moisturize your skin without being greasy.
Beauteque Brush – I couldn’t find this on their site, but this is a good-sized brush for liquid, cream, or powder application. It has synthetic bristles (yay!) and a smooth bamboo handle.
Essie Nail Polish in “The Lace is On” – How pretty is this color?! I love it! This was actually a “bonus” item for those who preordered by a certain date (not sure if bags ordered now will still get it… hopefully!). This is my first Essie polish and I’m excited to try it. Their formula is supposed to be long-wearing and it’s DBP, Toluene and Formaldehyde free.
My Beauty Diary Natto Face Mask – I received 2 of these single-use masks. I chose the Natto one because it’s said to be moisturizing and anti-aging. It contains natural plant extracts and is free of paraben preservatives, alcohol, and fluorescent agents. You just put it on your face and let it stay there for 20-30 minutes, then remove the mask and rub the access into your skin. No rinsing required!
Beauteque Mineral Eye Shimmer in “Sahara Sky” – This is a pretty blue-ish green mineral shadow with fine gold sparkles throughout. There were almost a dozen different colors to choose from, but I went with this more “bolder” shade just for fun. It’s paraben-free, lightweight, and long-lasting. I swatched it on my hand and it’s not as bold as I thought it’d be. It’s probably totally fine for everyday wear.
Holika Holika Dessert Time Blueberry Pudding Pack – Wait — Don’t eat this puddin’! It’s for yo’ face! It’s a gel mask made with fruit extracts including blueberry, kiwi, guava, and more. The blend is designed to give your skin a more youthful elasticity. Just smooth onto your face, wait 10-15 minutes, and rinse off.
Etude House Drawing Eyebrow Pencil in Dark Brown – This is a sheer pencil used to shape, fill in, and define your brows. It has a triangular tip on one end, and an eyebrow brush on the other. If I ever figure out how to shape my brows (I’m new to this whole “makeup” thing), this’ll come in handy.
I thought this was a great start to Beauteque’s Beauty Bag subscription. The bag itself is super cute and I love the stripes/colors. The products inside were all new to me, which made it extra fun discovering different brands. My favorite item was the bonus Essie polish, but I’m pretty happy with everything and will eventually put it all to use.

The pudding pack looks fun and I’ve never tried it before. I’ll feel like my baby girl who we joke must think all her food is a beauty mask the way she smears it around. 🙂

Love that it’s customizable! So often I get items I can’t use in boxes because the shade is all wrong.
