Eternal Girl is an Etsy shop specializing in handmade jewelry and greeting cards. Julia, the owner/creator, lovingly hand draws all of the designs herself.
Nearly all of her pieces — including necklaces, rings, and earrings — are inspired by henna and Mehndi art. Flowers, butterflies, hearts, and celestial designs are the most common themes featured. She also accepts custom orders and can tweak her designs to give you a truly one of a kind piece of jewelry.
When I first looked through her shop, I was immediately drawn to the rose pendant (of course!). Since she does custom work, I asked if she could maybe add 2 (little) rosebuds to the design. 😉 She happily obliged and I LOVE the finished product! [read more…]

I was recently contacted by the founder of a great company called Lalabu. She was wondering if I’d be interested in reviewing an innovative new product for moms — the Soothe Shirt.
The Soothe Shirt is a clever, simpler alternative to traditional baby-wearing, uh… contraptions. There are no straps, ties, or buckles — you simply wear it as you would any other shirt. So easy! It has a has a snug yet stretchable fit, with a pouch in the front that effortlessly holds your little one against your chest. There’s also a built-in nursing bra for breastfeeding.

Adventure Trunk is a brand new subscription box geared towards younger kiddos (age 2 to 4). Each box contains 12 different hands-on activities that are approved by a certified elementary education teacher. The activities will focus on math, reading, and art, with one activity dedicated to each area per week. Every month will feature a different kid-friendly theme that the activities will be based on.
Activities included will range from art projects, to stories, sensory activities, puzzles, and more. Every box will also include an “Explorer” booklet, which serves as your “lesson plans” for the month. It details how each activity is to be completed, as well as how to tweak them to match your child’s skill level. The booklet also has a “suggested reading” list that goes along with the theme and ideas for non-box related activities to do in addition to the ones in the box.

They’ll send you those two items, as well as a third “featured item” for that month (along with tips on how to style them). You can also choose to have just 2 pair sent to you — one you choose, and the other the featured item chosen by HauteLegs.
When you initially sign up, you actually get to choose all of the selections yourself for that first month. So if you sign up for 3 pair/month, you’ll get to choose all 3. It’s not until the second month that they introduce the featured item.

Nana’s Cookie Company makes some seriously awesome cookies. Not only do they taste amazing, but they’re also free of many common food allergens. You won’t find any dairy, eggs, casein, wheat, corn, or even soy in these bad boys. Oh, and refined sugar? Not in Nana’s! They’re all sweetened with natural fruit juice. Woo!

When I first learned that I was pregnant, I totally envisioned myself lovingly cooking (er, steaming) up homemade purees for my baby… Going to the farmer’s market, buying fresh organic produce… Only the best for my little rosebud, right? Well, that was until I was informed that my single “rosebud” was actually two “rosebuds“. And homemade purees, well… they didn’t seem quite as magical.
Thankfully, brands like Peter Rabbit Organics made for a damn good Plan B.
Peter Rabbit’s fruit and veggie pouches are all made with 100% organic ingredients. They contain no added sugar, salt, or artificial preservatives — just yummy blends of fruits and vegetables. Lemon juice is the only “extra” ingredient, used to help preserve flavor and freshness.

Color Me Monthly is a fun nail polish subscription service that sends one seasonal color to you every month.
All of their polishes are “free of toluene, formaldehyde/formaldehyde resin, dibutyl phthalate (DBP), and camphor” — aka non-toxic. Animal testing is also a big no-no (their polishes are vegan!) and they try to work with vendors who share that sentiment. Awesome!
Oh, and did I mention that Color Me Monthly is only $7/month (shipping included)? Double awesome!

Ecocentric Mom recently switched from a monthly box to an every-other-month box. I was a little bummed about it at first, but I’m kinda happy about the change now. It saves me money and gives me more time to use up the products before the next box arrives.
As always, I received the “Mom & Baby” box this month. The other two options available are a “Mom-to-Be Box” and just a plain ol’ “Mom” box. Austin Lloyd is a great new(ish) subscription box for little ones. They offer unique, high-end toys selected specifically for your child’s current “play level”. I was lucky enough to be sent a review box this past November (which I LOVED), and even luckier to have won January’s box via a blog giveaway. Woo!
Austin Lloyd is committed to providing toys that are not only engaging, but also bpa & phthalate free. None of the toys will ever require batteries and the total value of the items will always exceed the cost of your box. Awesome!
