Let’s see what’s in the August 2016 Peaches & Petals box!
A peek inside. — Honestly, it felt a bit empty at first glance.
An info card listed all of the items in the box, along with a short description of each one. The theme for August’s box was “Thank You for Being a Friend”.
Dogeared Anchor Friendship Necklace – Wow! I looked this necklace up on Amazon and it’s selling for $54. So I went to the Dogeared site and they have it for $58. The high value made me wonder if this might be a knockoff and I did notice that the font used on the card above differs from the ones selling on Amazon/Dogeared. The color of the gold also looked a bit off to me… Either way, it’s still a cute lil’ necklace to give your BFF as a token of your friendship. 😉
Golden Girls Notecards – A Peaches & Petals exclusive! This set of 5 blank notecards features a photo of the Golden Girls cast along with the popular title of their theme song — Thank You for Being a Friend. The cards come with matching envelopes and are sure to be a huge hit for fans of the show.
Manna Kadar Radiance Split Pan Bronzer/Highlighter – This 3-in-1 product that can be used as a bronzer, highlighter, or eyeshadow. I’m well aware of this fact because it’s seriously like the 7th one of these I’ve received in a subscription box in the last couple months. (Fingers crossed that this is the last of ’em.)
FunkyTech Foxy Fox Two-Port Splitter – I’ve never had a need for a headphone splitter, but if I ever do I’ll be happy to have this adorable fox one. 🙂 It works with any device with a standard 3.5mm headphone socket and has an attached keychain for easily taking on the go.
Inspirational Decal – A stick-able reminder that “It’s not what we have in life, but who we have in our life that matters”. Preach!
“Friendship Surprise” – To be totally honest, I really could have done without this final item. It’s a wooden box with decorative lid that just looks cheap to me. There was what looked to be dust inside and it had an “old” smell. Ah well.
Ooh — September’s theme looks like it’ll be fun! — It’s going to be “All Things Cute”. (I hope those kitty headbands are included!) 😀
Honestly, I thought August’s Peaches & Petals box was “just okay”. It certainly wasn’t my favorite, but it wasn’t awful either. The cheap wooden box kinda irked me and I wish I knew if the necklace was a knockoff or not. On the other hand, they did do a nice job sticking with the friendship theme and I love that they included an in-house designed item. August 2016 Peaches & Petals Review
A nice theme this month, but the cheap wooden box was a total bummer. I’m also really curious if the Dogeared necklace is legit or a cheap knockoff. Definitely looking forward to seeing what’s in store for September’s “All Things Cute” themed box! 🙂
