Let’s see what’s in the January 2016 Peaches & Petals box!
Everything was packed into a large (and heavy!) white box with the Peaches & Petals logo on top.
A peek inside.
An info card listed all of the items in the box, along with a short description of each one. January’s theme was “No time like the present!”.
Kikkerland Selfie Stick – Okay, I’ll admit it — I’ve always wanted to try out a selfie stick but never wanted to actually purchase one. I don’t even remember the last time I took a proper selfie. Once you’re a mom, 99.9% of your photos are of your kids. 😉 That said, I’m glad I finally have one to play around with. My husband tried it out with our girls and it’s easy enough for a 3 year old to master. Just attach your phone to the dock, hook the cord into your phone’s audio jack, press the button on the extendable stick and BAM — selfies galore!
Family Circle Healthy Home-Style Cooking – This book is a bit dated (from 2011), but nonetheless I think a healthy recipe cookbook was a good choice for a January box. It’s a hardcover edition that features over 300 recipes — including one for a marinated tofu stir fry! 😉 I’ll probably pass this along to my MIL, who loves experimenting with new dishes.
Hamilton Beach Fruit Infuser Bottle – A 17 ounce fruit infuser bottle that features silicone grips and an easy carry handle for fruity hydration on the go. It’s spill/leak-proof and “BPA-free in food zones” (not sure how comfortable I am with that specific wording). It’s also made of glass, which seems a bit inconvenient for taking on the go.
Airplane Bracelet – I normally hate gold colored jewelry, but I actually kinda like this fun travel-inspired bracelet. It’s very dainty and cute. My wrists are tiny though, and it looks ridiculous on so I’m going to try to figure out how else to use it. Maybe an adornment for something like a candle holder? Suggestions appreciated. 🙂
Adventure Decal – This was included for you to display in a place you’ll see it often, to remind you to live life to its fullest and embrace the adventures that may come your way.
February Spoiler! – Every February box will include a love-themed throw pillow cover. Cute!
Overall, I was pretty happy with the January Peaches & Petals box. I’m glad I finally get to experience the vanity of a selfie stick (for my kids, anyway!) and the other items are useful for the most part. A newer cookbook would have been nice, but recipes are recipes, right?
