Like last month, my December POPSUGAR Must Have box arrived at my doorstep without any advance notice. And like last month, I’m still totally cool with that.
POPSUGAR Must Have is a monthly lifestyle subscription box that’s curated with a fun variety of “on trend” products curated by the POPSUGAR team. Items can range from food, beauty, household, fashion, fitness gear and everything in between. Unlike a lot of other subscription boxes, everything in this box is full sized. No foil packets in this bad boy.
Monthly boxes are $39.95 and there’s almost always a discount code available (I’ve included one at the end of this post!).
As always, I had already seen (and posted about) all of the spoilers, so I knew exactly what would be in the box. Still, it’s just not the same until you get the goods in your hands. With that said…
Let’s see what’s in the box!
First look. I was happy to see that I got an info card again (the first two months I wasn’t so lucky).

Subtle Luxury SPUN Scarf in Metallic Grey ($62) – This light grey scarf with metallic gold speckles is a great choice for a December box. Its shimmery-ness(?) is perfect to add a bit of shine to your holiday outfits. I’m usually not a big fan of gold, but I really don’t mind it here. (At least for the holidays, anyway.) It’s made of super soft polyester and measures 30″ x 80″. (Oh, and I should probably point out that the red tint in my photo is courtesy of my Christmas lights. The scarf is strictly grey and gold.)
Sparklepop Sydney Necklace ($42) – Okay, so while I didn’t mind the speckles of gold in the scarf, I just can’t get down with a gold necklace. Just not my style. That said, it IS a cute necklace if you’re not loyal to silver like I am. The chain is 18K gold-plated and fairly long (37 inches). The stone is described as a “premium crystal”, whatever that means. Really wish they would have had a silver option for those who preferred it in our profiles. Ah well. Into the gift pile it goes!
Canvas Dauville Platinum Bowl ($29) – I probably should have put something inside so you could get an idea of the size, but… I didn’t. Anywhoo… This is a small porcelain bowl with a hand-painted platinum interior. I love versatile little items like this — something anyone can use. Who couldn’t use an extra little bowl, right?
Williams-Sonoma Cupcake Mix in Vanilla Bean ($14.95) – This mix would have been vegan-friendly if it weren’t for the very last ingredient (nonfat dry milk). Ugh. I hate when that happens. What does that mean? Yep, another one for the gift pile. I really don’t mind, since Christmas is inching nearer & nearer and I still have a ton of shopping to do. Subscription box “rejects” make great last minute gifts. 🙂
Smashbox Be Legendary Long-Wear Lip Lacquer in Bordeaux ($24) – I don’t wear lipstick, so this will join the others in the ever-growing gift pile as well. I didn’t open it to fully reveal the color since it’ll be gifted. I don’t want to gift something that’s been opened, ya know? Though I did open the box, so… technically it was opened, but um… Moving on…
Knot & Bow Parcel Tags ($4) – A set of 10 cardstock gift tags. Perfect for holiday packages, or for use after the holidays thanks to the “all occasion” blue color.
I sorta have mixed feelings on this month’s box. The scarf, bowl, and tags are probably the only items I’ll be using myself. That doesn’t seem like a lot but while the rest of the things aren’t my style (or don’t fit my dietary needs), they will make great gifts. Plus the total value of everything comes to an impressive $175.95! Considering I only paid $40 for the whole box, I really can’t complain.
