It’s January POPSUGAR Must Have time! (So excited about this one!)
If you’re new here, POPSUGAR Must Have is a monthly lifestyle subscription box that’s curated with a fun variety of “on trend” products curated by the POPSUGAR team. Items can range from food, beauty, household, fashion, fitness gear and everything in between. Unlike a lot of other subscription boxes, everything in this box is full sized.
Monthly boxes are $39.95, but you can save $5 on your first month with coupon code “MUSTHAVE5“.
Okay, let’s see what’s in the January 2016 POPSUGAR Must Have box!
January’s box was inspired by the following themes: Renewal, Organization, Detox, New Year, and Healthy Habits.
As always, the info card included photos, descriptions, and retail values for each item.
Spark Joy: An Illustrated Master Class on the Art of Organizing and Tidying Up by Marie Kondo ($18.99) – I’m normally not too thrilled when books are included in subscription boxes, since everyone has such varying tastes… However, I’m totally excited about this selection. I own the first book that began the whole “declutter ALL the things!” craze and it did help me to part with a TON of clothes and accessories. I’m still slowly working through the rest of the book (and am in dire need of purging), so hopefully this companion will give me some much-needed motivation!
Pehr Designs Pebble Speck Bin ($40) – I LOVE this! (I wish it came in the December box that I ended up getting two of thanks to signing up for that crazy 6-month deal a month ago.) While I would never pay $40 for a canvas storage bin, I’m happy to receive one in a $40 subscription box. 😉 It measures 13″ x 12″ and the neutral color scheme allows it to fit into just about any space/decor.
Not Soap, Radio Bath & Shower Gel Gift Set ($22) – It looks like this is a POPSUGAR Must Have exclusive set, as the one on their website and on Amazon has 7 bottles and this one only has 5. Not sure the exclusivity is much to brag about there. 😉 This would be great for anyone who travels often, but since I don’t I’ll likely use ’em at home in the tub. I was happy to see they work as a shower gel and bubble bath.
Blue Sky Day Designer Weekly Planner ($15.99) – I tend to use my phone to record appointments, make lists, and just about everything so I wasn’t too excited about receiving a physical planner… Until I looked through it and saw that it includes not only monthly & weekly calendars, but also plenty of pages for daily lists. While I can (and do) make lists on my phone, there’s just something more satisfying about writing them down and using actual checkboxes to tick each item off when complete. I’m going to try to use this in conjunction with the Spark Joy book to organize my… organizing/decluttering.
Patchology FlashMasque Trio ($20) – Not crazy about facial sheet masks, but at least they’re easy enough to use. Unlike traditional masks, these ones only take about 5 minutes to deliver results and require no rinsing.
Project 7 Summer Snow Gourmet Gum ($1.99) – For whatever reason, whenever I read “summer snow” I think “yellow snow”. Is that even a real term (summer snow)? We just call ’em sno-cones. Anywhooo… This is a packet of sugar free gourmet gum, whose proceeds (from every 7th pack sold) helps support anti-bullying campaigns.
Special Extra: ChapStick Total Hydration 100% Natural Soothing Vanilla ($2.99) – This is one fancy looking tube of Chapstick! The last thing I need is another lip balm though, so I’ll be gifting this to someone in need of lip hydration. 😉
I enjoyed January’s POPSUGAR Must Have box SO much more than December’s! I always like when they’re heavy on the lifestyle items (as opposed to beauty), so this was a total win for me. As always, the overall value was great too — over $120 in items! 😀
If you’d like to check out POPSUGAR Must Have for yourself (I believe the January box is still available!), you can save $5 on your first box when you use coupon code “MUSTHAVE5” at checkout. That’ll make your box around $35 shipped!
