It’s POPSUGAR Must Have + Target collab box review time! Woo!
If you’re new here, POPSUGAR Must Have is a monthly lifestyle subscription box that’s curated with a fun variety of “on trend” products curated by the POPSUGAR team. Items can range from food, beauty, household, fashion, fitness gear and everything in between. Unlike a lot of other subscription boxes, everything in this box is full sized.
Every year, POPSUGAR Must Have collaborates with Target to release an awesome fitness-themed box. They’re sold as a one-time purchase (no subscription required) and typically sell out in a very short time. — This year’s box was gone in roughly 30 minutes!
This box was priced at $75 and is (obviously) no longer available, but you can save $5 on your first month of POPSUGAR Must Have with coupon code “MUSTHAVE5“.
Okay, let’s see what’s in the January 2016 POPSUGAR Must Have + Target box!
The box!
A peek inside.
So much stuff!!
As with regular POPSUGAR Must Have boxes, the info card included photos, descriptions, and retail values for each item.
Jawbone UP2 Gunmetal Hex Lightweight Thin Strap ($99.99) – Last year’s box included a FitBit, so it wasn’t surprising that they included another fitness tracker for 2016. This was actually the spoiler they showed on the order page when you signed up to buy the box. Considering this alone retails for $99, the $75 cost of the box was already well exceeded with just this one item! I love the sleek look/style of this tracker and how it adjusts to fit your wrist snugly (I hate loose-fitting things on my wrists!). It has an impressive 10 day battery life and tracks your activity, sleep, and more. A downloadable app allows you to log your food intake and access a “smart coach” to help you meet your goals.
Here’s a shot of the back — love the clasp/snug fit. I think I have to practice more with taking it on and off though, as that was a bit of a struggle. 😉
S.W. Basics Organic Lip Balm Flight ($15.19) – The last thing I need is more lip balm, but I think I’m in the minority. 😉 This little tin contains four different balms — peppermint, cocoa, citrus, and cinnamon. Each one is made using just 5 ingredients or less, many of which are organic and/or fair trade.
Mission EnduraCool Cooling Microfiber Towel ($14.99) – When I first saw this I was kinda indifferent… I don’t work out, so I didn’t think I could use it. BUT — then I discovered that it cools to about 30 degrees below the average body temperature when wet. I am SO using this around my neck while I take box photos on super summer hot days. We don’t have central air and I need all the help I get! 😉
Define Bottle Sport Flip Top ($19.99) – I’ve gotten quite a few infuser bottles in other subscription boxes, but this is the first one I may actually use. The others all had a little “basket” to hold the fruit, but I definitely prefer this version where it’s all in a lower compartment instead. It’s also BPA free and comes apart for easy (dishwasher-safe) cleaning.
C9 Champion 3-Pack Headbands ($4.99) – I have short hair and I don’t work out, so these are definitely a “meh” item for me. That said, they totally fit the theme of the box and are clearly a great inclusion for those who do work out/have long hair. 😉
Luna Bar Dark Chocolate Hazelnut ($5.79) – I LOVE Luna Bars so I was excited to see a whole box of ’em! This also appears to be a new flavor which I’ve yet to try, so even better. Yay!
Skullcandy Method Earbuds ($28.99) – Like lip balm, earbuds are another item that I have quite the stockpile of thanks to subscription boxes. These ones are made with “Stickygel technology” that’s supposed to be sweat resistant and keep the buds in your ears during even the most intense workouts.
Pixi by Petra Makeup Melting Cleansing Cloths ($10) – I can always use more makeup remover, so while not an exciting item, these will be used.
Simply Balanced Freeze Dried Strawberry Slices ($3.49) – Yum! My toddlers and I were snacking on these as I worked on this review. These are just pure, freeze-dried non-GMO strawberries — with nothing added! Definitely a smart snackin’ option. 🙂
Wow! I am beyond impressed with this year’s POPSUGAR Must Have + Target box! The fitness tracker alone covers the cost of the whole box and the total retail value of all the items is just over $200! I’m glad they only put this out once a year or I’d be broke. 😉 But seriously, as long as they keep puttin’ these out, I’ll be buyin’ them. How can you not!?
If you’d like to check out POPSUGAR Must Have for yourself (I believe the January box is still available!), you can save $5 on your first box when you use coupon code “MUSTHAVE5” at checkout. That’ll make your box around $35 shipped!
