March 2017 POPSUGAR Must Have unboxing time!
If you’re new here, POPSUGAR Must Have is a monthly lifestyle subscription box that’s curated with a fun variety of “on trend” products curated by the POPSUGAR team. Items can range from food, beauty, household, fashion, fitness gear and everything in between. Unlike a lot of other subscription boxes, everything in this box is full sized. The total value is almost always well over $100!
Disclosure: I received this box for review purposes. I was not compensated in any way. All opinions are my own. Post may contain affiliate and/or referral links.
Monthly boxes are $39.95, but you can save $5 on your first month with coupon code “MUSTHAVE5“.
Let’s see what’s in the March 2017 POPSUGAR Must Have box!
The familiar pink & white POPSUGAR Must Have box.
A peek inside!
As always, the info card included photos, descriptions, and retail values for each item. The March 2017 POPSUGAR Must Have box was inspired by the following themes: Spring fever, Playful, Travel, Nostalgia, Carnival, and Snapshot.
Sunnylife, LLC Eco Lunch Box Watermelon ($18)
Do I need another lunch box? Nope. Will I probably keep this anyway due to how cute it is? Yep! 😉 Not only is it a fun design, but this little lunch box is also eco-friendly and dishwasher safe. It includes a blue silicone strap to keep the lid in place and measures 13 x 7 x 19 cm large (er, small).
Stephanie Johnson Camera Crossbody Bag ($45)
I wanted to like this bag. I really did. It was actually a lot larger than I thought it would be which was nice, but still… I just can’t get down with it. That said, I’m sure it would be a handy bag for taking to the beach, given its water-resistant nylon construction. It can also double as a clutch or roomy makeup bag when you remove the strap. Maybe I’d like it better if it were a different color… The website shows a handful of different color options, including pretty light blue and pink shades that I like a lot more than this bold red. Ah well.
Thrive Causemetics Brilliant Eye Brightener in Stella ($24)
This vegan-friendly eye brightener highlights, brightens and opens the eyes, providing an instant eye lift. You can use it as an upper or lower eyeliner, applied to the brow bone, lids, and the inner & outer corners of the eye. It also features a built-in sharpener and is free of parabens, sulfates, latex, and petrochemicals.
Kate Spade New York Photo Album ($20)
I was kind of indifferent about this item at first, but then I remembered that I have boxes and boxes of photos that could use a forever home. 😉 The simple polka dot design is universally appealing and the fact that it’s Kate Spade is no doubt a bonus for those who are into designer brands. Its cover reads “Small Album, Big Picture” and can hold up to 80 4″ x 6″ prints.
Smashmallow Cinnamon Churro ($4)
These “premium snacking marshmallows” are made with organic cane sugar and all natural ingredients including cinnamon and pure vanilla extract. I was hoping for a vegan-friendly treat this month, but no such luck. Ah well.
Velvet Eyewear $25 Gift Card
Meh. I’m never too excited about a gift card, unless it actually allows me to get something for free. 😉 Since the cheapest item on the Velvet Eyewear site is $45, I won’t be using this. (I can’t wear sunglasses due to having prescription glasses anyway, so not a big deal.)
Okay, real talk here. — I haven’t been too thrilled with any of the POPSUGAR Must Have boxes of 2017 to this point. Last month’s was so disappointing that I didn’t even bother reviewing it and while this one was definitely better than February’s, it still wasn’t quite up to par with last year’s boxes from the same months. The overall value was still good for March — at $111 without counting the gift card, but it definitely wasn’t one of my favorites. Fingers crossed that April’s box makes up for the last 3! 😉
If you’d like to check out POPSUGAR Must Have for yourself, you can save $5 on your first box when you use coupon code “MUSTHAVE5” at checkout. That’ll make your box around $35 shipped!
