May 2016 POPSUGAR Must Have unboxing time!
If you’re new here, POPSUGAR Must Have is a monthly lifestyle subscription box that’s curated with a fun variety of “on trend” products curated by the POPSUGAR team. Items can range from food, beauty, household, fashion, fitness gear and everything in between. Unlike a lot of other subscription boxes, everything in this box is full sized. The total value is almost always well over $100!
Monthly boxes are $39.95, but you can save $5 on your first month with coupon code “MUSTHAVE5“.
Okay, let’s see what’s in the May 2016 POPSUGAR Must Have box!
The May 2016 POPSUGAR Must Have box was inspired by the following themes: Fitness, Relaxation, Health, Hydration, Yoga, and Deep Breaths.
As always, the info card included photos, descriptions, and retail values for each item. Unlike past boxes, the info card had four panels instead of just three (and was much harder to photograph 🙁 ).
Spongelle Spongology Body Buffer ($20) – This exfoliating buffer sponge is infused with body wash and last for up to 20 uses. The skin-softening formula is made with organic extracts to cleanse and nourish your skin.
Bluma Project Capri Bracelets (Set of 2) ($44) – When I saw the spoiler for these bracelets, I wasn’t too thrilled… But now that I’ve gotten to try them on, I actually kinda like ’em. They’re a lot daintier than I expected and I don’t even mind the gold accents too much. I could really do without the tassels, but they don’t bug me enough not to wear them.
Gaiam Foldable Yoga Mat ($24.98) – I haven’t practiced yoga in years, but have been thinking about getting back into it soon (partly due to getting so many cool yoga-related items in subscription boxes!). This foldable mat is super thin and easy to pack into just about any tote/gym bag. It has a lifetime guarantee and features an exclusive POPSUGAR shade of blue.
Happy Spritz Breathe Deeply ($25) – A refreshing spritz infused with pure peppermint and eucalyptus oils. Use it as a facial mist or simply spray in the air and breathe it in to help invigorate and soothe your senses.
Kocostar Foot Therapy ($10) – A paraben-free foot exfoliant wrap that helps to repair & soften dry, tired feet. This at-home spa treatment dissolves rough, dead skin while it hydrates and soothes. The package contains one set of booties which you need to wear for 90 minutes. After 3 or 4 days, the dead skin will start to come off and you should see the full results (soft feet) in about 2 weeks.
Jimmybar! in Peanut Butter Clutter ($2.49) – An all natural snack bar made with simple ingredients — dates, peanut butter, crisp brown rice, peanuts, almonds, and honey. I’ve had these before and they’re pretty tasty. 🙂
Revlon Volume + Length Magnified Mascara ($8.99) – This was listed as a “special extra” (aka sponsored item). I wear mascara on the daily, so I’m always happy to try out new formulas.
Hint Kick in Black Raspberry ($1.69) – Another “special extra”. I don’t normally drink flavored water (or whatever this would be considered), but I’ll give it a try. It’s infused with 60mg of caffeine, which is the equivalent of about a cup of coffee so I’ll have to remember not to drink it too late in the day.
I wasn’t crazy about this month’s POPSUGAR Must Have box, but I did enjoy it more than I expected to after initially seeing the spoilers. The bracelets were actually more wearable than I thought and I’ll probably use more than half of the other items. Not too bad. As always the value was great — roughly $137 in products!
If you’d like to check out POPSUGAR Must Have for yourself, you can save $5 on your first box when you use coupon code “MUSTHAVE5” at checkout. That’ll make your box around $35 shipped!
