Let’s see what’s in the January 2020 Postmark’d PostBox!
Everything was shipped in a small white mailer via First Class mail.
The contents!
All boxes come with a little hand-written note from the founder. — One of my daughters noticed the happy banana on this month’s and asked if she could keep it. Ha!
All of the items were neatly stacked together and secured with a whimsical banana-printed ribbon.
A 2-sided info card revealed the theme for January’s PostBox — “Go Bananas”. It also listed all of the cards included, along with the artists who made them. The reverse side of the info card featured a fun New Year’s resolution themed Mad Libs-style game.
Barrow of Bananas Hello!Lucky/San Francisco, CA
Thank you cards are always nice to have on hand since you never know when you’ll need to send one. And what better way to say “thanks a bunch” than with the help of an adorable little sock monkey perched atop a pile of bananas?! Too cute!
Love You Bunches Tiny and Snail
This bright & cheerful “I Love You Bunches & Bunches” card from Tiny and Snail features a blue/green background covered in bunches of striking yellow banana… bunches. A fun “just because” card that lets the recipient know how you feel about them without getting too mushy. 😉
Banana Card Ashley Mary/Minnesota
Welp, there’s no subtlety here — this is a straight-up banana card. It’s also quite large — 3.9″ x 9.25″ to be exact. The card itself is flat (doesn’t open up), but there’s plenty of space on the back to write your message. It also comes with a neat transparent blue envelope with button-tie closure.
Go Bananas Appalachia Press/Roanoke, VA
“It’s your birthday… Go bananas!” — Send your b-day wishes with the help of this quirky letterpress card from Appalachia Press. The cheerful card comes complete with an equally cheerful bright yellow envelope.
Banana Postcard
This Postmark’d Studios exclusive postcard is larger than standard size cards and is brimming with bodacious bananas. It’s quirky, yet practical enough for just about any occasion or recipient.
BONUS CARD: Hello There Pop Glory/Silver Lake, CA
January’s box included a bonus card from Pop Glory — a California-based team of 3 humans and one canine. The card features a banana phone with the text “Well Hello There!” printed below.
Yellow Rollerball pen
Honestly, I was expecting something a little more directly related to bananas for this month’s “artsy doodad”, but this will do. 😉 Although it doesn’t smell like bananas or have the shape of a banana, this bright yellow rollerball pen does write quite well and also has a nice weight to it. I’m a fan!
Vintage Postage Stamps
January’s box included a collection of vintage postage stamps in various shades of yellow, along with a handy guide that shows which ones can be used together to equal a single stamp at today’s current postage rates.
Postmark’d Studio Postcard
As always, a thick/sturdy Postmark’d Studio postcard was also included.
January’s banana-themed PostBox featured a fun collection of whimsical cards to kick of the new year. I felt like it maaaybe needed one more additional “quirky” item to tie into the banana theme (like last January’s citrus box), but overall, I was happy. 🙂 — Remember, for a limited time you can save 40% on your 1st box when you sign up for a 3-month subscription! — Just use coupon code “2LRB404ME” at checkout.
