Let’s see what’s in the August 2017 Postmark’d PostBox!
Everything was shipped in a small white box with a Postmark’d Studio logo on top.
A peek inside!
Once again, all of the items were neatly stacked together and secured with a piece of twine.
A 2-sided info card revealed the theme for August — Farmer’s Market! It also listed all of the cards included, along with the artists who made them. The reverse side included info on making “mail art” using vintage stamps.
All 4 cards were individually packaged in plastic sleeves.
“Everyday I’m Brusselin'” Meeschmosh/Long Island, NY
Is it weird that I’ve never tried brussels sprouts before? My parents never had them in the house and since I wasn’t introduced to them as a kid, I haven’t bothered trying them on my own. Am I missing out?? My own sprout deprivation aside, this fun card is perfect for sending a note to your veggie lovin’ friends. It’s printed on 100% cotton paper and features a 2-color screen print with a matching bright green envelope.
“I’m All Ears” Farmwood Press/Atlanta, GA
Now, corn on the cob — that’s a veggie I’m most definitely down with. 🙂 This adorable card features a happy duo of corn cobs with the phrase “I’m All Ears” above them. The letterpress design is printed on cotton paper and I love the cute kernels of corn they included on the reverse side corner. Aww.
“You are One in a Melon” Alexis Mattox Designs/Springfield, UT
A great pick for the summertime, this laser cut card is in the shape of a slice of watermelon and includes the phrase “You are One in a Melon”. It’s a flat card with plenty of room for personalization on the reverse side and comes with a matching green envelope.
“A Bushel & a Peck and a Hug Around the Neck” 1canoe2/Fulton, MO
This sweet card features a hand-painted illustration inspired by the designer’s love of homegrown fruit. It’s printed on heavy cardstock and comes with a coordinating envelope. An ideal card to send to a friend or family member to remind them how much they’re loved.
Tomato and Carrot Seed Packet Postcards Found Image Press/San Diego, CA
These colorful postcards portray images of seed packets that were originally printed by the Genesee Valley Litho Co. in Rochester, NY back in the 1920’s. Rochester, as well as Fredonia — where the seed packets were actually produced — are both pretty close to where I live, so these were neat to receive.
Sunflower Seed Packet
Speaking of seed packets… Postmark’d also included a packet of real sunflower seeds to plant in your garden. Cool!
Magnetic Carrot Pen
To say my carrot-obsessed daughter was a little excited about this pen would be quite the understatement. 😉 To be honest, I was excited for her when I pulled it out of the box. Not only is it a fun novelty item on its own, but it even has a built-in magnet to hang it on your fridge. Ooh!
Postmark’d Studio Postcard & Pencil
Like last month, a thick/sturdy Postmark’d Studio postcard was also included, along with a coordinating pencil.
Postage
Enough postage was provided to mail 4 greeting cards and 1 postcard. There were 17 1¢ stamps, 16 10¢ stamps, 4 5¢ stamps, and 1 33¢ stamp. This large assortment was included for you to make mail art with stamp collages, as shown on the info card.
Another great selection of greeting cards, postcards, and fun extras from PostBox! I absolutely loved this month’s “Farmer’s Market” theme and anything involving vegetables (especially carrots) is always going to be a hit in my house. 🙂 — Remember, for a limited time you can save $20 on a 3-month subscription with coupon code “HOT20SALE“!
