February 2018 PostBox by Postmark’d Studio review time!
If you haven’t heard, PostBox by Postmark’d Studio is a new subscription box that features artisanal greeting cards and postcards created by artists around the globe. Each box will include 4 greeting cards, 1 postcard, postage stamps, and a fun artsy item such as a pen, pencil, or knick-knack based on that month’s particular theme. The cards are all handcrafted by a variety of different artists/companies, which means you’ll get a nice sampling of unique designs to send to your friends and loved ones.
Disclosure: I received this box for review purposes. I was not compensated in any way. All opinions are my own. Post may contain affiliate and/or referral links.
Subscriptions are $30.95/month ($25 + $5.95 shipping), or less with multi-month commitments. — For a limited time, you can get FREE shipping on a 3-month subscription with coupon code “2LRB3Free”!
Let’s see what’s in the February 2018 Postmark’d PostBox!
Everything was shipped in a small white box with a Postmark’d Studio logo on top.
A peek inside!
As always, the items were all neatly stacked together and secured with a pair of pink & red ribbons.
A 2-sided info card revealed the theme for February’s PostBox — “Chocolate”! It also listed all of the cards included, along with the artists who made them.
The reverse side of the info card included information about “The Month of Letters Challenge”, which you can participate in by sending a note/letter to someone every day during the month of February.
Chocolate Lab Twin Ravens Press/Eugene, OR
Perfect for sending to your favorite dog lover, this letterpress printed card features an image of a chocolate lab with a festive pink heart in its mouth. It’s blank inside for writing your own message and comes with a matching pink envelope.
Golden Ticket Inklings Paperie/Detroit, MI
Ahh! — This card is so neat! It’s basically a cooler version of an “IOU” that requires you to write the recipient’s “prize” in the white box and cover it up with the included gold sticker. When the recipient opens it, they can use the (included) penny to scratch away the gold and reveal the message underneath. I haven’t gotten my husband anything for Valentine’s Day yet, so… This just may be the answer! 😉
Chocolate is a Salad Skel Designs/Hermosa Beach, CA
This cheeky card reads: Chocolate comes from cocoa, which is a tree. That makes it a plant. CHOCOLATE IS SALAD. While it’s a little bit skewed in its “facts” (cacao tree not cocoa!), it does make for the perfect card to send to your favorite choco-holic.
All You Need is Love Wild Ink Press/Chico, CA
Featuring a quote by Charles Schulz, this letterpress card is another good pick for someone with a sweet tooth. The front reads “All you need is love…”, while the inside finishes the thought with “…but a little chocolate now and then doesn’t hurt”. Cute!
Chocolate Tub Mari Tanimura/Tokyo, Japan
For those hardcore choco-holics who want to bathe in a giant vat — or pot — of chocolate, this is the card for you! It’s actually a postcard and features an original watercolor illustration by Japanese artist Mari Tanimura.
Primitives by Kathy Magnetic Hearts
These petite, heart-shaped magnets were a fun surprise! Although small, they’re surprisingly strong and are already displayed on my fridge as I type. 🙂
Stabilo Point 88 Fineliner Pen in Brown
This pen features non-smudging, water-based ink that can sustain long cap-off time. It has chocolate brown ink that dries quickly and a hexagon shape to keep it from rolling.
Divine Dark Chocolate with Pink Himalayan Salt Bar
A smooth dark chocolate bar made with Fair Trade, non-GMO cocoa beans sourced from a farming cooperative in Ghana. It’s infused with Pink Himalayan Salt and contains absolutely no artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives. The ingredients appear to be vegan, but for some reason the label says that it contains milk. Weird!
Postage
Enough postage was provided to mail 6 greeting cards (the sixth is on the reverse side of the blue flowers).
Postmark’d Studio Postcard & Pencil
As always, a thick/sturdy Postmark’d Studio postcard was also included, along with a coordinating pencil. — The little pink embroidered heart was a sweet touch!
What a fun chocolate/Valentine’s themed PostBox! — All of the cards were incredibly cute and I love my new set of heart magnets. Such a great box! 😀 — Remember, for a limited time, you can get FREE shipping on a 3-month subscription with coupon code “2LRB3Free”!
