Pretty Girl Box is a new monthly subscription box for tweens, teens, and young adults.
Boxes will contain “girly” items such as nail polish, eyeshadow, lipgloss, body spray, lotions, bath products and accessories. Since all girls are different, they offer 3 unique box options: Classic, Sassy, and Edgy.
Subscriptions are $25/month, or less with multi-month commitments.
Let’s see what’s in May’s Pretty Girl Box!
The box itself was very girly, but not kiddish. Perfect for tweens & teens.
The presentation was colorful and featured a cute “Smile” sticker.
While there wasn’t an actual information card, they did include an inspiring quote and a collection of fun “girl talk” questions that you can answer to win a free box.
Body Bandits Cherry Boo Thang Skin Smoothie – Body Bandits is the parent company of Pretty Girl Box, so each box will include at least one Body Bandits product. This one is a skin-softening “smoothie” to hydrate dry, rough skin. I didn’t see this on their site, so I’m guessing it’s a newer offering. It smells delicious though!
e.l.f. Studio Moisturizing Lipstick in Ravishing Rose – A pretty pink lipstick enriched with shea and Vitamins A, C, & E to hydrate and soften your lips.
LA Colors Bold Color Lash Mascara in Dark Brown – A dark brown mascara with a rubber brush to apply color without smearing, clumping, or smudging.
Multi-Color Heart Nail Polish – I didn’t see an actual brand name on this polish, but it’s pretty. A clear base color with tons of pink, blue, and white foil hearts.
Almar Sales Company Lip Gloss – This one looks kinda sketchy. There’s no seal, no familiar brand name, and the gloss itself looks like it’s made of plastic. 🙁
LA Colors Eyeshadow Trio – A pretty palette featuring 3 heavily pigmented shades of eyeshadow. The purple is really vibrant, but I’m not quite sure I’m young enough to get away with it. 😉
Broadway Nails Grape Scented Nail Polish Remover – A cute little container with 32 acetone-free grape scented nail polish remover pads. Perfect for on-the-go manis.
Dentek Flossers Travel Pack – Never neglect oral hygiene again with this handy dandy travel case of dental flossers. I’ll definitely be taking this along on our next overnight trip (whenever that will be…).
Rose Gold Heart Necklace – Not my style, but definitely appropriate for tweens. The rose gold chain features a blinged-out heart pendant overlapping a peach/pink heart bead/stone.
Rose Gold Charm Necklace – While this piece might look rather heavy, it’s very light. It actually feels like it’s all made of plastic. I’d say this is fine for young girls, but it’s a little too cheapy for teens/young adults.
With a little tweaking, Pretty Girl Box seems like it could be a fun subscription for tweens/teens. The box itself and the overall presentation were fun and modern. However, the items don’t seem to have the highest values (I always see LA Colors at my local Dollar Tree), and some of the lesser known/unknown brands made it feel a bit underwhelming. That said, this is their first box, so hopefully things will improve as they grow. 🙂
