A peek inside!
An info card revealed the theme of this quarter’s box — “Vinyl Love” — and listed all of the items that were included.
Vinyl Colors 1000-Piece Puzzle
Once upon a time, my husband and I were super into punk/indie rock and bought quite a bit of vinyl records. Though mine is a small portion of it, our combined collection is now in the hundreds. That said, this quarter’s “Vinyl Love” theme was a perfect fit for us. The featured puzzle has original artwork of a big ol’ pile of ~colorful~ vinyl records — which were always my favorite to collect. (I even have a vomit-colored one, purposely chosen to be that shade to pair with the album sleeve showing a kid vomiting. So punk! 😉 ) As promised, the puzzle consists of 1,000 pieces and the finished product will measure 27.55 inches by 16.68 inches.
Puzzle Challenge Card
To make completing the puzzle a bit more challenging, Puzzle Culture suggests working from the center record out to the edge, leaving the edge pieces for last.
Turntable Slip Mat
Okay, so as much as I used to listen to records, I’ve never owned a slip mat. In fact, I had no idea what it was even for until I Googled it. 😉 Turns out, it’s simply a circular piece of synthetic material that disk jockeys place on the turntable platter instead of the traditional rubber mat. They’re also very commonly used as decoration for when a record isn’t on the turntable.
Puzzle Culture Logo T-Shirt
Designed by High Tee Co., this heather gray t-shirt is printed with a neat Puzzle Culture vinyl-themed logo. The shirt is made of a 99% cotton, 1% polyester blend and has a traditional/unisex fit.
Vinyl Record Coasters
I was SO excited to see these cool vinyl record coasters in the box! (No, really!) We’ve been using a set of cheap cardboard coasters that are incredibly warped and I’ve been meaning to find a sturdier set. These adorable vinyl ones are absolutely perfect! — I especially love how they included grooves in the design. 🙂
Puzzle Character Pin
Annual subscribers received a bonus item. — An adorable puzzle character pin! This happy little guy is shaped like a puzzle piece and is rocking out to his favorite jams. Too cute!
I really enjoyed the debut box from Puzzle Culture! The puzzle artwork was great and the additional items went perfectly with the vinyl records theme. Such a fun box for jigsaw puzzle fans or anyone looking for an affordable new hobby. 😀
