I haven’t gotten a chance to review a Sapphire Soul box since last autumn — aside from their special “Frozen” themed box in December — so I was excited to check out February’s box. I had heard they’d made some changes, so I was curious to see just what they were.
The Sapphire Soul “Balance Box” is a monthly subscription box that helps you “inspire your mind, take care of your body and open your soul”. It includes items such as candles, essential oils, jewelry, crystals, holistic wellness products, and more! All of the items are chosen to help you achieve happiness and balance for your mind, body, and soul.
Sapphire Soul offers 2 different sized Balance Boxes. The small box is $33/month and the large is $52/mo. Large boxes include a piece of crystal healing jewelry in addition to the regular small box contents.
I was sent a large box for review.
Let’s see what’s in February’s Sapphire Soul box!
I believe this is the first month that they’ve used these nicer branded boxes. It’s definitely an improvement over the old, standard taped up box.
This is also the first month that they’ve included a nice insert card. Previous boxes have just included a text-heavy informational printout. They also sent an email with additional information, as well as free digital download codes. Oh yeah, the theme this month is “Angel Blessings”. (I apologize for the weird lighting in these photos… clearly the angels were not on my side this time!)
Blue Lace Agate Necklace with Angel Wing Charm ($32-42) – Large box subscribers received either a necklace or bracelet made with rose quartz or blue lace agate. I received the latter, which is one of the rarest agates and said to promote peace and tranquility. It’s very pretty, but not really something I’d wear. I think I’ll just hang it up somewhere in the house to reap its benefits. With two 2-year olds running around here, we need all the peace & tranquility we can get!
Blue Lace Agate Stone ($4) – Another chunk of tranquility! I’ll take it! 😉
Angel Blessings Dream Catcher ($18) – I’ve actually never owned a dreamcatcher, so I’m happy to receive this one. I love the colors they chose — perfect for the girls’ room, which is where I plan to hang it. Dreamcatchers are said to act as a sort of spider web and catch all of your bad dreams, only letting the good ones through.
Angel’s Influence Candle by Crystal Journey Candles ($8) – Candles are one of my favorite things to receive in subscription boxes. This one is described as a travel candle, but seems larger than standard “travel candles” to me. (No complaints here.) I’m not sure what the scent is, but it’s definitely light and calming.
Opalite Angel Pendant ($9) – Opalite is a stone that is said to soothe, calm, and protect us from negative influences. It’s also very hard to photograph. 😉
Angel Affirmation Card ($?) – I’m not sure what to do with this, but it’s from a set of oracle cards (Angel Answers by Doreen Virtue).
While I do appreciate the curation and overall theme of February’s Sapphire Soul box, some of it was a little too… angel-heavy for me. (Yeah, I realize that was the whole point of the box.) I don’t mind candles and crystals, but when it gets into angels and oracle cards, it just weirds me out a little. Obviously, it’s just a personal preference and I’m guessing most subscribers and fans of the spiritual world are totally into it. 😉
