Bestowed is a monthly subscription box that features healthy snacks & foods carefully chosen by nutritionist/author Heather Bauer.
Boxes are only $19/month (including shipping!) and contain a nice variety of different snacks, food items, and beverages. While the box isn’t geared towards any particular diet, I was pleased to find many vegan items in this month’s selection. (Yay!)
September’s theme is “Back to School” and features lots of kid/lunchbox-friendly products. While my girls are too young for the whole “bagged lunch” thing, I’m more than happy to eat everything myself. 😉 So what’s in the box? Read on!
Popcorn Indiana Fit Popcorn in Extra Virgin Olive Oil – This was SO friggin’ good! The olive oil/seasoning totally reminded me of the oil mixture I use to dip fresh baked bread in. Just thinking about it makes me wish I had more RIGHT NOW. Oh, and it’s only 40 calories per cup. Hello there, best snack ever.
Happy Squeeze Greek Yogurt in Razzleberry – Organic greek yogurt made with real fruit. Suitable for babies, toddlers, and yep, adults too!
Somersaults Sunflower Seed Snacks in Cinnamon Crunch – I had seen these in other sub boxes and they sounded kinda “blah” to me. When I opened them I did NOT expect to like them much, let alone LOVE them… But woah! These things are damn good! They’re made with sunflower seeds & whole grains, but they look like tiny cookies and taste amazing. More, please!
La Tortilla Factory Mini Soft Wraps – These white whole wheat mini wraps have just 50 calories per serving/wrap! Dumb question: Are wraps and tortillas one in the same? I honestly have no idea… Either way, I’m totally using these to make homemade tacos this week. (Tortilla or not!)
Nonni’s THINaddictives Almond Thins – Twice-baked cookies made with real, wholesome ingredients. Only 100 calories per serving. I gave these to my mom to have with her daily cup o’ tea.
Funky Monkey Carnival Mix – This little bag contains 100% real fruit slices and pieces. That’s it. No added sugar, preservatives, or icky chemicals. It’s also gluten-free and kosher. Yay, fruit!
Pearls Olives to Go! – Black pitted olives in cute little “to go” containers. I really wish these were green olives, as I’m not much of a fan of black ones… BUT the girls have tried them a few times and didn’t spit ’em out, so I think I’ll just slice ’em up for them to snack on.
Pacific Natural Foods Chocolate Hazelnut Milk – I keep forgetting that I have this in the fridge. I’m actually excited to try it. A non-dairy hazelnut & chocolate flavored beverage? Heck yes!
This was my first experience with Bestowed, and I was definitely pleased with the selection of products they sent. I like that it’s not just snacks, but also real “foods” too (like the wraps & olives). I didn’t add up the prices for everything, but it seems like a pretty good value for $19 shipped.

That popcorn sounds right up my alley! The sunflower seeds sound really interesting too!
