Time to check out the July 2016 Serendipity by LLB box!
If you haven’t heard, Serendipity by LLB (Little Lace Box) is a lifestyle subscription box that delivers hand curated, designer products directly to your door every other month. Boxes will feature five to seven sample-sized and full-sized items ranging from beauty, to home decor, sweet treats, bath & body products, and more. There typically won’t be a theme — just a collection of items chosen for their overall awesomeness.
Subscriptions are only $12.99/box (single, non-renewing), or $59.94 annually (6 boxes). These sell out fast and are only available at limited times throughout the year (so it’s best to sign up for the annual subscription when you can). While they don’t offer a coupon for Serendipity, you can still save on the original Little Lace Box with the following codes: $10 off a single box – LLB10 , $15 off 6-month subscription – LLB15, or $20 off 12 months – LLB20.
Alright, let’s see what’s in the July 2016 Serendipity by Little Lace Box!
Everything shipped in a small brown box via First Class mail.
A peek inside!
An info booklet listed all of the items in the box, along with descriptions and retail prices for each one. The July Serendipity by LLB box featured an assortment of different products for pampering oneself.
Kitsch Gold/Pearl Layering Necklace ($22.95) – Kitsch is the same brand that has recently popped up in other boxes like POPSUGAR Must Have. While I do enjoy getting jewelry in subscription boxes, I’m just not a fan of anything gold. 🙁 If this were silver, I’d be all about it. I like that it can be worn as a layering necklace, or separated and worn individually.
LeBlanc France Parfum Sachet ($5.99) – I like the neat vintage-inspired artwork on these sachets! Subscribers could have received one of 4 different fragrances — rose, peony, lily of the valley, or lavender. Mine is the latter and I’m happy with that scent. I’m not big on floral scents, but lavender is one of my few exceptions. 🙂 Lavender-scented underwear, here I come!
Manna Kadar Fantasy 3-in-1 Blush Highlighter Shadow ($18.99) – Yeesh, Manna Kadar is seriously everywhere these days. I swear I’ve gotten at least 6 of their highlighters/blushes in July boxes alone. But yeah, this 3-in-1 shadow can be used as an eyeshadow, blush, or highlighter. It’s highly pigmented and gives a metallic look when applied with a little water.
Pre de Provence Riche Hand Butter ($7.99) – As I just mentioned, I’m not a fan of most floral scents, so I’m a little hesitant to see what “starflower” smells like. Subscribers could have received lavender, coconut, amande, or this… I honestly would have been happier with any of the other scents. Ah well. If I don’t like it, I’m sure my mom will happily take it off my hands. 😉
100% Cotton Boca Terry Spa Headband ($3.95) – I know this headband looks a little dingy in the photos above — it’s not. The box was full of red paper squigglies that latched onto the terry cloth and made it look a little stained in spots. Nothing a quick wash won’t fix. The info card suggests using this while applying facial masks, which is what I’ll probably do.
There was also a coupon code for Hello Fresh, which gave you $50 off your first 2 boxes.
Honestly, this was probably my least favorite Serendipity by LLB box to date. Nothing in it really “wowed” me. Of course, for $12.99/box (or even less with an annual subscription) I can’t really complain. The total retail value for July was just under $60! — While they don’t offer a coupon for Serendipity, you can still save on the original Little Lace Box with the following codes: $10 off a single box – LLB10 , $15 off 6-month subscription – LLB15, or $20 off 12 months – LLB20.
