Let’s see what’s in the May 2022 Simply Earth box!
Everything was shipped in a small brown box with a blue Simply Earth logo on top.
A peek inside!
An info card (printed on the back of one of the recipe cards) revealed May’s theme: “Women’s Health”. It listed this month’s featured oils, along with any included extras. It also provided a few safety tips for each oil/blend.
A note from Katie — recipe formulator & certified aromatherapist — revealed a bit more about this month’s theme.
May’s recipes provided clear instructions for whipping up the following:
- Flow Roll-On
- Turmeric Infusion

- Moisturizing Hair Mask
- Beauty Skin Care Balm
A sheet of pre-printed stickers was also included for labeling your creations.

Simply Earth Marjoram Essential Oil
Marjoram essential oil has a variety of uses including aiding digestion, promoting hormone balance, supporting heart wellness, relaxing muscles, soothing headaches, and supporting women’s wellness. This particular batch of oil was sourced in Hungary from the flower & leaf of the marjoram plant.

Simply Earth Lemon Essential Oil
I love the fresh scent of pure lemon, so I was happy to see this included in May’s box. 🙂 Lemon essential oil is great for detoxifying, reducing the appearance of breakouts, easing seasonal discomfort, cleaning, promoting stomach wellness, and more.
Simply Earth Ladies’ Choice Essential Oil Blend
The only blend of May’s box, “Ladies’ Choice” contains a fragrant combination of clary sage, geranium, marjoram, and lavender essential oils. It’s formulated to help ease the symptoms & discomfort of PMS and is great for using in roll-ons, diffusers, and cooling sprays.
Simply Earth Spearmint Essential Oil
Spearmint is not only great for mints & chewing gum — its oil has many health benefits including aiding digestion, soothing head discomfort, supporting respiration, promoting stomach wellness, and more. It has a fresh, minty scent that’s slightly sweeter than peppermint.
“Homemade” Paperboard Tube
One of the recipes in this month’s box is for a Beauty Skin Care Balm. The cardboard tube above was provided as a dispenser for said balm and can be reused (refilled) multiple times. It’s also biodegradable!
Spray Bottle
A small 1-oz spray bottle was included to hold the Cooling Spray recipe featured in the box. It’s made of PET plastic, which is completely safe to use with essential oils.
Aloe Vera
Soothing and hydrating, liquid aloe vera is amazing for skin and hair care. Its utilized in 2 recipes in this month’s box — Cooling Spray and Moisturizing Hair Mask.
Here are the recipes that I’ve made so far:
Mother’s Day Diffuser Blend
Supplies needed: Lemon Essential Oil, Marjoram Essential Oil, and Ladies’ Choice Essential Oil Blend.
This “recipe” was incredibly easy and simply required me to fill my diffuser with water, then add the specified amount drops of each of the essential oils above. Once added, I switched on the diffuser and let the aroma fill the room.
Cooling Spray
Supplies needed: Spray bottle, aloe vera gel, Ladies’ Choice essential oil blend, Spearmint essential oil, and distilled water.
Another super easy recipe that simply involved pouring a tablespoon of aloe vera gel & the specified amount of essential oils into the included spray bottle and filling the rest up with distilled water.
Once filled, I gave the bottle a shake to mix all of the “ingredients” and then slapped on the blue “Cooling Spray” sticker provided. So easy!
Flow Roll-On
Supplies needed: Ladies’ Choice essential oil blend, Lemon essential oil, Marjoram essential oil, fractionated coconut oil*, and a glass roll-on bottle*.

Another incredibly easy recipe that simply involved placing a specified amount of essential oils drops into the roll-on bottle and filling the rest up with fractionated coconut oil. — Then carefully position the sticker/label and you’re done!
