I was recently sent a Cleaning Bomb Tablet kit for review, so let’s check out the products!
Simply Earth Cleaning Bomb Tablets
First up was a 10-count box of individually wrapped cleaning bombs. The tablets/bombs are 100% fragrance-free and contain zero parabens, phthalates, or SLS. Just one tablet is all you need to tackle various cleaning jobs throughout your home. To use, simply a drop tablet into a bucket (or sink) and fill with water. Allow a few minutes to fully dissolve, then it’s ready to go. You can also customize it with your favorite scent by adding 5-10 drops of essential oil directly to the tablet before dropping into the water.
Simply Earth Clean & Fresh Essential Oil Blend
A bottle of “Clean & Fresh” essential oil blend was provided for use with the cleaning bombs. The blend features a pleasing combination of fir needle, lemon, grapefruit, and neroli essential oils. It’s great for killing germs and is a much better alternative to the artificial fragrances found in most store-bought household cleaners.
Swedish Dishcloth
The final item in my kit was the cute Swedish dishcloth above. These reusable cloths are designed to reduce your need for disposable paper towels. (Fun fact: A single Swedish towel can replace up to 12 rolls of paper towels with regular use!) The dishcloths are not only adorable, but also totally compostable.
It was a little tricky to document the ways in which I used Simply Earth‘s new Cleaning Bombs, as I didn’t exactly want to post photos of my toilet or garbage disposal (how would I even do that?) on the internet. 😉 So with that said, here’s how I used them:
- To scrub said toilet. — I added 5 drops of the Clean & Fresh Essential Oil Blend to a tablet and dropped it in the toilet bowl. As it dissolved, the bubbles helped to start the cleaning process. Once completely dissolved, I scrubbed the bowl as usual. Easy!
- To freshen garbage disposal. — Thankfully, we never have odor issues with our garbage disposal due in part to the fact that I use lemon slices in my water and grind them up daily. That said, it doesn’t hurt to give it a deep clean. This required simply adding essential oil to a cleaning bomb, running the water until it was hot & setting it to a slow trickle, then dropping the tablet into the disposal. Turn on disposal and enjoy the fresh scent.
- To clean daughters’ bathroom. — We used the bucket method to scrub their sink, tub/shower walls, and more.
