Time to get my snack on! — The August SnackSack has arrived!
If you’re not aware, SnackSack is a relatively new subscription box that focuses on delivering natural, “junk-free” snacks to your door every month. All of the snacks included will be free of “artificial junk” and offer a mixture of all natural, vegan, organic, non-GMO, gluten-free, and fair trade products. They’ll all be tucked inside a reusable burlap sack, which is shipped in a large box for ultimate snack protection.
Subscriptions are $23/month with free shipping. Discounts are also available for multi-month plans. (There’s also one at the end of this post!)
Let’s see what’s in the August 2015 SnackSack!
A peek inside: Healthy snacks galore!
The information card listed everything inside, along with a brief description. There are also little symbols next to each one indicating whether it’s vegan, gluten-free, and/or non-GMO. — Like I pointed out last month, there are many snacks included in the box that are definitely vegan, but not labeled as such on the card. Just a head’s up. 🙂
Barnana Apple Cinnamon Banana Bites – I’ve had the original Barnana bites a few times and while good on their own, I’m happy to see them come in a flavored version as well. Apples and cinnamon are the only added ingredients — nothing more!
Yummyhealth Yummysnack Pizza Flavor Baked Cheese Chips – These crispy chips are made of 99% cheese! They’re grain-free, gluten-free and contain 5 grams of protein per serving.
Cabo Chips Mango Chili Lime Tortilla Chips – Non-GMO tortilla chips made with whole grain corn and flavored with mango, chili pepper, & lime juice. Sounds good to me!
Chinook Seedery Hatch Green Chile Sunflower Seeds – All natural, gluten-free sunflower seeds flavored with authentic hatch green chilies, jalapeño and habanero peppers, a bit of onion.
This Bar Saves Lives in Wild Blueberry Pistachio – Not the most practical name for a snack bar, but it definitely makes their mission kinda obvious. — For every bar they sell, they give a packet of food to a child in need. Nice!
That’s It Bar – This bar is made with 100% real apples and pineapples. (“That’s it!”)
Mediterranean Snacks Veggie Medley Straws – My kids love veggie straws, so they’ll be happy to see these. They’re made with real (non-GMO) veggies and have 30% less fat than regular potato chips.
Veggie-Go’s Chewy Fruit & Veggie Snack in TropiKale – Organic fruit leather made with 100% fruit & veggies. TropiKale contains a blend of mango, kiwi, kale, pumpkin, apples, and guava.
Health Warrior Chia Bar in Acai Berry – I’ve had these bars before and they’re not bad. They’re made with chia seeds and contain plenty of plant-based protein as well as omega 3’s.
Good Boy Organics Bops Baked Sour Cream & Onion Crisps – I’ve also had these before (in original/salted flavor) and I wasn’t really a fan. I’m not even sure why. They’re organic, gluten-free, and made with non-GMO ingredients.
I Heart Keenwah Aged Cheddar Quinoa Puffs – These are a much healthier version of traditional cheese puffs. I mean, they contain quinoa. They have to be healthier.
Tasty Brand Organic Fruit Snacks in Citrus Splash – I’ve gotten these in a couple other subscription boxes and I love ’em! They’re organic, made with real fruit juice, and contain no gelatin. Yum!
Sol Simple Solar Dried Mango – I somehow forgot to take a photo of these, so I borrowed one from the Sol Simple site. 😉 These are solar dried and contain no additional flavors or preservatives — just 100% mango.
Once again, I’m happy with the selection of treats included in the latest offering from SnackSack. So many tasty (and healthy!) snacks for everyone in the family. Yay!
