Let’s see what’s in the August 2018 Vegan SnackSack!
Everything was shipped in a newly designed blue & white Snack Sack box.
A peek inside!
A tri-fold info sheet listed all of the items included in each of the 3 available boxes (Classic, Vegan, and Gluten-Free) and gave brief descriptions of each product.
In your first SnackSack box, you’ll receive a reusable tote that you can refill with new SnackSack snacks each month after.
Beanitos Hint of Lime Bean Chips
I LOVE these chips! They’re made with real beans, providing a nice amount of fiber in every serving. They also have 5 grams of protein per bag. The lime flavor is pretty strong and for some reason reminds me of Fruit Loops. 😉
Sheffa Mint Chocolate Granola Bar
A gluten-free & vegan-friendly granola bar made with non-GMO ingredients including certified gluten free oats, dark chocolate, puffed brown rice, hazelnuts, pea protein, and more. It also contains real peppermint extract for an all natural mint chocolate flavor.
The GFB Chocolate Peanut Butter Gluten Free Bar
You can’t go wrong with chocolate and peanut butter! This bar is made in small batches in a dedicated gluten-free facility and is loaded with 12 grams of protein and 4 grams of fiber. It’s non-GMO and free of both soy & dairy.
Saffron Road Crunchy Chickpeas in Sea Salt
Roasted organic chickpeas seasoned with sea salt and rosemary extract. They’re non-GMO, vegan, gluten-free, and a good source of protein. — I was surprised to see such a large (6-ounce) resealable bag! 🙂
Pizootz Blazing Buffalo Artisan Peanuts
All natural Virginia peanuts seasoned with spicy peppers for a flavorful “Blazing Buffalo” kick. These are completely free of gluten, preservatives, GMOs, MSG, and other nasty stuff. The label also states that they’re “powder-free” for no more messy hands.
Wai Lana Sea Salt Cassava Pops
A nice alternative to potato chips, these are popped (not fried or baked) and only have 100 calories per bag. They’re also vegan and gluten free.
Wat-U-See Caramel Sea Salt Popped Chickpeatos
I’ve had these chickpea-based snack puffs a few times, but this is my first time seeing the caramel sea salt flavor. These are made with a blend of green peas, rice, chickpeas, sunflower oil, organic coconut sugar, sea salt, and natural caramelized sugar flavor. One serving has 3 grams of fiber, 3 grams of protein, and only 100 calories.
Herbaland Protein Gummies
These fruit-flavored gummy supplements are organic, non-GMO, and vegan friendly. They’re designed to help muscle recovery and contain 28 grams of fiber, 10 grams of protein, and just 1 gram of sugar per serving.
Unisoy Teriyaki Vegan Jerky
I just tried this jerky and it tasted very… jerky-like. 😉 I almost felt like I was slobbering like a dog as I tried biting through it because it was that tough. It was a little sweeter than I would have preferred, but for 7 grams of protein and only 90 calories, I would happily try it again.
Nature’s Bakery Double Chocolate Brownie
I love these Nature’s Bakery brownies! They’re made with organic stone ground whole wheat, organic dates, and other natural/vegan-friendly ingredients. So good!
Nature’s Bakery Apple Cinnamon Fig Bar
My daughters both LOVE these fig bars and have been eating them almost daily for about a year now. They were a subscription box discovery and we just can’t get enough of ’em. They’re made with ancient grains including teff & amaranth and they’re also free of high fructose corn syrup, artificial colors, flavors, and preservatives.
I’ve yet to meet a SnackSack box that I didn’t like. 😉 A great variety of tasty snacks, as always. My favorites this time were the Beanitos lime bean chips, GFB bar, Unisoy jerky, and Nature’s Bakery bars. — Remember, if you’d like to try out SnackSack for yourself, you can save 10% for LIFE with coupon code “ROSE″!
