July 2018 SnackSack review time!
If you haven’t heard, SnackSack is a subscription box that focuses on delivering natural, “junk-free” snacks to your door every month. A full-color info sheet listed everything inside, along with helpful symbols next to each one indicating whether it’s vegan, gluten-free, organic, and/or non-GMO.
Love Grown Cereal Cups
Thanks to subscription boxes, my girls both LOVE the “Fruity Sea Stars” cereal from Love Grown. Two new-to-us varieties were included in July’s box: Cinnamon Lion Loops and Chocolate Comet Crispies. Like the Sea Stars, both of these flavors are made with wholesome ingredients including navy, lentil, and garbanzo beans!
GoMacro Dark Chocolate + Almonds Macrobar
An organic food/snack bar made with all natural ingredients including organic almond butter, pea protein, puffed brown rice, fair trade chocolate chips, and sunflower seed butter. It’s vegan friendly, certified gluten-free, and packed with 10 grams of protein per serving.
Jackson’s Honest Purple Heirloom Potato Chips
These small batch chips are made using purple heirloom potatoes that are kettle cooked in organic coconut oil. They’re non-GMO, vegan, and delicious!
Karma Peri Peri Roasted Cashews
A flavorful snack consisting of dry roasted cashews seasoned with a blend of red pepper and chili spices. These offer a good source of iron, zinc, and magnesium & are high in copper and manganese. They’re also vegan, gluten free, and non-GMO.
Nature’s Bandits Mango Apple Fruit Stix
I’ve received these before in another flavor and my kids (and I) really enjoyed ’em. The organic “stix” are made with a blend of real fruit and contain zero artificial flavors or colors.
The Dough Bar Chocolate Chip Crispy Bar
Oooh! — This sounds delicious! It’s like a healthier, protein-packed, vegan-friendly version of a Rice Krispies Treat. Each bar has an impressive 9 grams of fiber, 15 grams of protein, and just 6 grams of sugar.
North Coast Organic Applesauce
A healthy, portable snack made with just one ingredient: organic apples. There are no preservatives or sugars added and each pouch has just 60 calories.
I Heart Keenwah Cashew Cranberry Quinoa Clusters
A complete source of protein, these crunchy clusters are made with organic quinoa, cashews, dried cranberries, sunflower seeds, hemp hearts, and other all natural ingredients. They’re non-GMO, gluten-free, vegan, and have 4 grams of fiber per serving.
Wholesome Organic DelishFish
A better alternative to traditional Swedish fish candy, these DelishFish are made without the use of high fructose corn syrup or artificial flavors/colors. They’re also 100% vegan, gluten-free, and non-GMO.
Verb Energy Co. Maple Blueberry Energy Bite
This tiny energy bar is loaded with just as much caffeine as an espresso! It’s vegan, gluten-free, and made with all natural ingredients including gluten-free oats, almond butter, blueberries, crisp brown rice, quinoa crisp, and green tea.
SunButter Natural Sunflower Butter
A creamy spread made with roasted sunflower seeds, this is a great alternative for those with nut allergies. It’s free of the top 8 allergens and is gluten free, soy-free, vegan, and non-GMO.
Another great assortment of vegan-friendly (and mostly gluten free) snacks from SnackSack! My favorites this time were the Love Grown cereal cups, GoMacro bar, the DoughBar crispy bar, Nature’s Bandits fruit stix, and Wholesome DelishFish.
