Let’s see what’s in the July 2019 Vegan SnackSack!
As always, everything was shipped in their custom blue (turquoise?) & white SnackSack box.
A peek inside!
A tri-fold info sheet listed all of the items included in each of the 3 available boxes (Classic, Vegan, and Gluten-Free) and gave brief descriptions of each product.
Despite their sometimes too “healthy-sounding” flavors — asparagus! algae! — I’ve yet to try a Vegan Rob’s snack that I didn’t enjoy. These particular chips are made with non-GMO ingredients including sprouted brown rice flour, flax seeds, chia seeds, quinoa, asparagus powder, nutritional yeast, and sea salt. They’re gluten-free and are a good source of algae protein & antioxidants.
Ooh! I cannot WAIT to try these peach-flavored, gelatin-free gummy bears! We’re taking a little family road trip in the next few weeks, so I think I’ll bring these along for the ride. Not only are these vegan-friendly, they’re also gluten free, kosher, organic, and naturally flavored. Bonus points for the resealable pouch too!
Premium Virginia artisan peanuts flavored with salt, dehydrated garlic, dill seed, spices, and white distilled vinegar. These contain no GMOs, artificial flavors/colors, preservatives, or MSG. They’re also powder-free for less mess.
I’m all about easy lunches when it’s too hot to cook, so this (non-styrofoam) soup cup was a very welcome item. 😉 It consists of individual packets of brown rice, veggies (including potatoes, carrots & bell peppers), and a broth cube. Just empty the packets & cube into the cup, fill with boiling water, wait 5 minutes, and enjoy. — It even comes complete with a spork for use on the go!
Chickpea puffs! — These morsels of puffed goodness are 100% vegan and made with all natural/organic ingredients including chickpea flour, rice flour, sunflower oil, seasonings, and pea hull fiber. All of the flavors are good, but this Vegan White Cheddar one is definitely my favorite. So good!
These crunchy little “snacking seeds” consist of just 5 simple ingredients: sprouted pumpkin seeds, sprouted sunflower seeds, lime juice, coconut nectar, and sea salt. They’re nut-free, gluten free, and have 6 grams of of plant-based protein per bag.
Yessss! SnackSack sent one of these in last month’s box (different flavor) and it was love at first bite. I was hoping they’d pop up again so I was thrilled to see another one so soon. This nutritious — and delicious — cookie is packed with hearty whole grains and sweetened only with fruit.
An allergy-friendly snack featuring a flavorful mix of roasted sunflower & pumpkin seeds blended with raisins, cranberries, and dairy-free semi-sweet chocolate chips. It’s free of most of the common allergens including gluten & wheat, peanuts, dairy, tree nuts, soy, casein, sulfites, egg, lupin, sesame, fish, mustard, crustaceans, and shellfish.
This chewy protein bar is made with only 5 organic ingredients: pumpkin seeds, dates, chocolate, cherry juice concentrate, and almonds. It has an impressive 10 grams of protein and 6 grams of fiber.
These crunchy, savory crackers are made with raw ingredients including golden flaxseed, hemp seed meal, raw agave nectar, nutritional yeast, raw apple cider vinegar, and rosemary. They’re non-GMO, vegan, and gluten-free.
An allergy-friendly granola bar that’s free of the 8 common allergens including dairy, peanuts, wheat, soy, tree nuts, and eggs. It’s non-GMO, organic, and includes the equivalent of nutrients found in one serving of vegetables.
Also included in the box was this awesome little “Vegan AF” tote bag. I’m not sure if this is a replacement for their standard SnackSack branded tote that they send to new subscribers or if it was just a fun bonus, but whatever the case, I’m a fan. 🙂
As always, a great variety of vegan-friendly goodies from SnackSack! My personal favorites were the Vegan Rob’s chips, Hippeas, Organic Candy Factory Gummy Bears, BOU Soup Cup, Erin Baker’s Breakfast Cookie, and Skout Bar. Oh — and the tote too! 🙂 — Remember, if you’d like to try out SnackSack for yourself, you can save 10% for LIFE with coupon code “ROSE″!
July 2019 SnackSack Review
Another nice selection of snacks, bars, treats, and even a cup of soup from SnackSack! The “Vegan AF” tote was a fun surprise too. 🙂
