Sockwork is a monthly sock subscription that not only allows you to rock some awesome socks, but also support a good cause at the same time.
Every month you’ll get 2 pair of designer socks from Richer Poorer. You just choose your subscription type (men’s or women’s), your style (pro, fun, or mix), and term (monthly, 3, 6, or 12 month sub)… Then wait for the sock-y goodness to arrive at your doorstep.
Sockwork is veteran owned and operated, so it’s fitting that 10% of each month’s profits is donated to a different non-profit veteran organization. Awesome!
I was recently sent a box o’ socks to review… Let’s have a look!
First look: Socks! Not much of a surprise here. 😉 I had requested a women’s box, but I’m pretty sure these are men’s. (I did find them listed in the men’s section on the Richer Poorer site.) No biggie though. Especially since they were kind enough to send them for review.
Richer Poorer “Stargazer” Black Socks – These are a nice, “basic” pair of socks — black with a subtle white dot pattern. They’re made with a blend of combed cotton, polyester, nylon and spandex. They seem like high quality, sturdy socks. I was going to keep these for myself, but figured I should ask my husband if he’d be interested (being for men and all)… He has a zillion black dress socks for work (that he’s constantly wearing out), so he happily added this pair to his collection. (Retail Price: $12.00)
Richer Poorer “Swindler” Navy Blue & Orange Socks – I knew my husband wouldn’t be down with such a brightly colored pair, but I asked him anyway… Nope. Not interested. So I guess this pair is for me. I’m honestly not a huge fan of the colors/pattern myself, but they’ll be fine to wear around the house during the colder months. They’re definitely a lot better quality than my usual store brand socks, that’s for sure! (Retail Price: $12.00)
The total retail value of my Sockwork box is $24, which is more than the monthly cost of the subscription ($20). However, I’d say this subscription is more about supporting veterans than “getting a good deal”. Although in this case, you totally do both!
