Let’s see what’s in the June 2019 Sweet Molasses box!
Everything was shipped in a plain white box with a brown Sweet Molasses sticker on top.
A peek inside!
There was no information card, but a general welcome card thanked me for my purchase.
As promised, I received a package of pads made with 100% organic cotton. Not only are these overnight pads super absorbent, but they’re also totally free of toxins, fragrance, and chlorine. They feature a “Leak Locker” top core and “Leak Blocker” side panels that prevent overflowing to help you feel fresh and secure all day and night long. Personally, I don’t really need overnight pads and would have preferred “regular” ones, but it’s not a big deal. However, if you have a heavy flow and need to change pads often, I’m not sure that 8 pads per month would be enough.
These lightly scented biodegradable feminine wipes are highly absorbent and consist of 98% natural pulp. They’re pH balanced, hypoallergenic, and safe for even sensitive skin. The package contains 10 paraben-free flushable wipes.
Both of my girls have insanely curly/wavy hair that’s prone to getting tangled, so we can never have too many detangling brushes over here. We’ve had lots of luck with these brushes, but we’ll still give this one a try. — Especially since it has such a fun, summery design. 😉
Unfortunately, this little bath bomb didn’t come with a label, so I’m not sure of its scent or ingredients. My kids and I all have super sensitive skin, so I’m not sure if we’ll be using this or passing it along to someone without any skin issues. I wish we knew what it was made of!
Add some extra flair to your fingers with these 3D style floral themed nail stickers. They’re self-adhesive and designed to last up to 7 days without any top coat needed. The package contains 20 stickers in all.
A simple gold-colored nail clipper for your grooming needs.
This facial mask is infused with real oatmeal extract for long-lasting moisture. To use, place on freshly cleansed skin and let sit for 20-25 minutes. After removing, gently massage the remaining extract into the skin.
If you’re not a fan of sheet masks, you can try this cream-based version instead. It’s infused with hydrangea extract and lavender oil to refresh & moisturized dry winter skin. Simply apply to freshly your cleansed face, leave on overnight, and rinse off in the morning.
A volumizing mascara specially formulated to lengthen, curl, thicken, and separate lashes. I received the shade “Blackest Black” and this appears to be a mini version of the original product.
From Essie’s “Gel Couture” collection, this gel polish is part of a 2-step system that consists of a colored gel polish, along with a special top coat for gel-like shine & protection. “The It-Factor” is a bold, bright pink shade that’s great for summer.
A one or two use body scrub packaged in a resealable tube, making it perfect for travel. It’s made with Himalayan salt to gentle exfoliate while it leaves your skin smooth and moisturized.
I didn’t see a shade listed anywhere on this tube, so I’m not sure if a sticker came off or if it just doesn’t have a specific shade name. Either way, it’s a bright pink whipped lipstick with a matte finish.
Foil packs aren’t very exciting, but they’re nice to have handy for travel. This shampoo/conditioner combo is sulfate-free and infused with argan oil for smooth locks.
Welp, I was a bit surprised to see a candy cane shaped nail file in a June box… Kind of an odd choice, but functional nonetheless.
While some of the item selections were a little odd/random, for the most part I was happy with the June 2019 Sweet Molasses box. The fact that the pads were made with organic cotton was definitely a plus. Also, the sheer amount of items was impressive and made the box fun to go through. Value-wise, it definitely makes the most sense to subscribe to their annual plan, which appears to be just over $3/month if you pay upfront. (Not sure if that’s a mistake on their part, or just a crazy good deal!)
June 2019 Sweet Molasses Review
An affordable “time of the month” box with the additional perk of organic cotton pads/tampons. While some of the items were of questionable quality, many of them were from well-established brands that made up for the others. 🙂
