Ivy Kids is one of my favorite children’s subscriptions so I was excited to find out that they were offering a Christmas “mini kit” for the holiday season. The kit is a one-time purchase (no subscription required) and sells for $24.95. If you’re not aware, Ivy Kids is a monthly activity box for children aged 3 through 8. It was founded by a certified early childhood educator, turned stay-at-home mom who had begun creating her own activities in order to entertain and educate her kiddos.
Happy Holidays to you all from these messy-haired little rosebuds!
I can’t believe it’s already time for the Fortune Cookie Soap winter box! I’m still making my way through all the products from the fall one. Geez. Not that I wasn’t looking forward to it… The theme this time is “Old Fashioned Family Christmas” — a tribute to the movie “Christmas Vacation”! Ahh! So cool!
Another year, another “Year in Review” post… (How is 2013 already over?! Slow down, time!! Slow. Down.)
Another year, another attempt at capturing “the perfect holiday photo”… and failing miserably.
…It’s gonna be a looong day. Merry Christmas!
I hope they’re not permanently traumatized… (Sorry girls. We’ll pay for your therapy sessions.) This is definitely the last year we’re gonna fork over $30+ to see a mall santa. I mean, c’mon… How can they charge so much without even giving us a real, legit beard? Pfft. Though in this guy’s defense, he was pretty friendly. Super creepy looking, but friendly nonetheless. Ho. Ho. Ho.
I’m way behind in all things “Christmas” this year (I blame the late Thanksgiving — daaamn you!), so it only makes sense that I’m late with my holiday giveaway too. Eh, what can ya do. Ooh, I rhymed. So yeah… It’s coming. After I figure out the prizes. And the contest duration. And the amount of contests. And the end dates. You know, just the minor details. 😉 Stay tuned!
I know, I know… It’s not even Halloween yet and here I am posting about Christmas ornaments. Perhaps I’m a wee bit ahead of the game, but when Dixie Midwest contacted me about reviewing one of their personalized ornaments, I just couldn’t say no. What can I say… I’m a sucker for things with my babies faces on ’em. 😉
Another year, another Christmas come and gone. *sniff* I swear, the older I get, the shorter the holiday season feels. When I was little, the anticipation of the big day was excruciating. The days seemed to drag on and on, highlighted only by the beloved prime time Christmas cartoons (nothing says “holiday spirit” better than a flamboyant little elf who just wants to be a goddamn dentist!). These days, November and December just swoosh by faster than you can say “FRA-GEE-LAY”. I was hoping this year would be different, now that I have kids and all. But nope — I […]
On Friday afternoon, I paid $33 to plop my dear babies into the waiting arms of a strange old fat guy. Yep, the girls had their first visit with Santa. We had originally planned to go to a cute little country store that our family has gone to for years, because they have the BEST Santa around. Real beard, super patient, willing to spend up to 10(!) minutes with each kid… And his services are FREE of charge! Sounds freakin’ great, right? Eh… not so much… Sadly, I had been reading the store’s Facebook page for the last few weeks […]
Fun Fact: Four-month old’s can’t sit up on their own. (Unless they’re over-achieving little freaks.) Fun Fact #2: Four-month old’s have the attention span of a turd. (Yeah, I realize that turds don’t have brains, but just humor me…) Therefore: Four-month old’s are really friggin’ HARD to photograph. (Not to mention when said four-month old has a clone. A non-sitting, ADD-having clone.) But… it’s Christmas! We NEED the perfect holiday photo of our little ones! Why, yes. Yes we do. So let’s add a little spice to the mix: 2 fancypants holiday dresses (just begging to be spit-up on), baby tights […]
