Tea Box Express is a monthly subscription box for tea lovers. I reviewed their very first box way back in 2014, so I was happy to get a chance to check out their latest offering.
If you’re not aware, Tea Box Express sends subscribers a selection of high quality loose leaf tea, as well as 3-4 fun tea-related goodies. Items can include kitchen accessories, infusers, measuring spoons, chocolates, cookies, and more. Their mission is to “bring a tea party to your door” every month!
Subscriptions are $25.50/month (plus shipping), or less with multi-month commitments. — For a limited time, you can save 20% on your first month with coupon code “ROSEBUDS20“!
Let’s see what’s in the June 2016 Tea Box Express box!
The box!
A peek inside. — It smelled super fruity!
There wasn’t an info card included, so I’ll just get right to the goods…
There were 2 different blends of tea in June’s box, both from Piper & Leaf Artisan Tea Co.
Piper & Leaf Front Porch Special – I’m not usually big on black teas, but this one sounds — and looks — quite good. It features a blend of homegrown spearmint, bergamot, Assam black tea, Ceylon black tea, cornflowers, and jasmine (my favorite!). According to their website, Front Porch Special is ideal for making a killer iced tea!
Piper & Leaf Sassyfras Strawberry – This is what was emitting the sweet, fruity scent when I opened the box. Mmm! I love green tea and while jasmine is my favorite, fruity teas are up there as well. Sassyfras Strawberry features a blend of Japanese Sencha green tea, strawberries (includes locally grown), sassafras root, and beets.
The Good Batch Brown Butter Salty Cookies – These are some seriously thick, tasty lookin’ cookies! My fingers were crossed (naively) that these would be vegan-friendly, but alas, they were not. (However, they DO offer one vegan-friendly flavor on their site that looks equally delicious.) The “Brown Butter Salty” is a shortbread cookie made with brown butter, unrefined cane sugar, and topped with sea salt.
Outset Hex Ice Cube Tray – This cute silicone tray features 5 rows of hexagon-shaped molds for lots of fun little ice cubes. It’s made of 100% pure food grade silicone, and is both oven & dishwasher safe.
Tea Box Express is such a fun box for tea lovers! I’m looking forward to trying both blends and I’m sure my girls will love having little hexagon-shaped ice cubes in their drinks. Oh, and eating those cookies too. 🙂 Remember — for a limited time you can save 20% on your first month with coupon code “ROSEBUDS20“!
