Let’s see what’s in the March 2016 ThaiThaiBox!
The box! It’s always fun receiving packages from places as far away as Thailand. 🙂
Despite its long travels, the contents were still 100% in tact and hidden beneath a layer of yellow tissue paper. An info sheet was taped to the inside lid.
The sheet listed all of the items I’d find inside, along with photos, brief descriptions, and ingredients for each one.
Koh-Kae Original Flavor – A crunchy snack made with natural ingredients including peanuts, coconut cream, sugar, and salt.
Wai-Wai Tom Yum Kung Flavor – Tom Yum flavored instant noodles. It actually looks like it could be vegetarian/vegan based on the ingredients on the info card, but the giant shrimp(?) on the package makes me a little leery. 😉
Parrot Botanical Soap Bar – A face and body soap that features a “refreshing botanical fragrance”. It actually reminds me of the bar soap my grandparents used back in the day… Very strongly scented and… mature?
Khao Chong 3-in-1 Super Rich – A convenient 3-in-1 instant coffee that includes sugar, coffee, and creamer together in one packet.
Tawan by Lay Laab Sab Flavor – This is another item that looks like it could be vegan-friendly, but I’m not 100% sure. It’s a cassava chip with “Thai spicy minced pork salad” flavor. Nope, definitely don’t see these in the US. 😉
Twin Lotus Dok Bua Ku Original Herbal – A traditional Thai toothpaste made with ingredients including calcium carbonate, hydrate silica, peppermint oil, menthol, toothbrush tree(?!), and cuttlefish bone.
Tao Kae Noi in Classic Flavor – Yep, this is most definitely a BIG sheet of seaweed. It’s made with just seaweed, vegetable oil, and seasonings.
Poy-Sian Herbal Nasal Inhaler – A double-duty product that serves as an herbal nasal inhaler on one end, and a topical aroma oil on the other. It’s made with menthol camphor, eucalyptus oil, and borneol.
Amira Makam – Two little tamarind candies were included as a special gift for March.
ThaiThaiBox is a great way to experience authentic Thai products every month from the comfort of your home. I really like that they offer a box option that includes both food and non-food items. I love checking out everyday household products that are popular in other countries/cultures. 🙂
