The Devotea USA Tea of the Month Club is a subscription box that sends you a new selection of loose leaf teas every month.
Each box will consist of small batch, hand-blended teas that can include The Devotea blends, single origin teas, one-off club-only blends, and even previews of blends prior to their release. The blends are shipped in individual resealable packages to ensure that the teas will stay as fresh as possible.
Subscriptions are $12/month when you sign up for 3 months, or less with longer commitments.
Let’s see what’s in the October 2015 Devotea USA Tea of the Month Club box!
The box!
A look inside.
The enclosed information sheet listed all of the teas in this month’s box, along with steeping instructions for each one.
Star Spangled Chai – A masala chai tea consisting of black tea leaves, star anise, cinnamon, black pepper, and cloves. A nice blend for the cooler months ahead. I was happy to see that steeping times, ingredients, and “best by” dates were included on each of the teas, either on the front or back of the package.
Craigmore Nilgiri – An everyday black tea from Lochan Teas. The info card states that it steeps without bitterness and it appeals the most to English/Irish tea drinkers.
Chamomile Loose Leaf Tisane – A naturally caffeine-free tisane from Elmwood Inn Fine Teas. This consists of “perfectly formed Egyptian chamomile flowers” and has a nice, calming aroma.
Vanilla Bean Loose Leaf Black Tea – A Teas Etc. black tea blended with both natural and artificial vanilla bean flavors. I wish it was *all* natural, but what can ya do.
Candies – There were also two soft, colorful pieces of candy included in the box as a little bonus.
While I’m more a fan of green tea and herbal blends, I still enjoyed October’s Devotea USA Tea of the Month Club box. It’s fun to discover new blends/brands of tea and the price seems quite reasonable, considering how much specialty teas can cost.
