The Fantasy Box is an adult-themed subscription service that helps couples connect (childish pun intended) by offering a new “fantasy in a box” every month. I reviewed their “Essentials” box in September and was super impressed with the, uh, “materials” included. So when the folks at The Fantasy Box asked if I’d like to review another box, I was more than happy to oblige. Yay for sexy time! 😉
I was given a few themes to choose from — which I can’t reveal, since part of the fun of these boxes is the element of surprise! — and I decided to go with “spa”. Hey, can’t go wrong with a pampering spa box, right?
Everything comes packed inside a bright pink reusable box with a neat magnetic closure. The box it’s shipped in is just a regular ol’ cardboard box, with no hints of the naughty-sexy-fun-time contents inside. 😉
Along with the actual products, there are also “instruction cards” included that explain how to proceed with the fantasy. One card goes to “Mr. Pamper”, the person who will be in charge of “setting the scene”… The other card is for “Mrs. Refresh”, the receiver of the pampering. I didn’t want to spoil the surprise for myself, so I’ve yet to read the cards. However, it’s pretty obvious that the fantasy will involve a massage and possibly a bath. Works for me!
Jimmyjane Contour M Ceramic Massage Stone – I LOVE this! When I first opened it up, I was a little confused because I thought it was a vibrating massager (clearly, I didn’t read the description first). Instead, it’s just a solid ceramic massaging “stone”. My back is constantly all knotty, so the deeper the massage, the better. I had my husband try this out on my upper back/neck and it felt amazing. Love it!
Escape by Sliquid – This is a “botanically infused”, naturally scented massage oil. It’s made with all natural ingredients and is even vegan (woo!).
Rene Rofe Lace Chemise – This is super cute! It’s feminine and pretty without being skanky. It has pink, see-through lace with a contrasting gray lace trim. The fit is snug around the upper body and gets a little more “flow-y” from the waist down. Definitely a flattering fit. It’s really soft too!
Tealight Candles & Rose Petals – I didn’t count them, but there were roughly 20 tealight candles scattered throughout the box. There was also a little package of artificial rose petals to toss in the bath or sprinkle(?) on the bed to set the mood.
I’m super excited to experience the entire fantasy (even though we cheated and already tried out the massager)! I could really use some nice spa/massage/sexy time. Teething twins really take their toll… 😉
