Tonttu Box is a newer subscription box that sends an assortment of products for moms, babies, and expectant parents.
Each box will feature 5 to 6 items carefully curated and tailored for your baby’s age and gender. Items can include unique handmade finds, educational books, toys, delicious treats, natural & organic cosmetics, healthy snacks, and more. Tonttu Box makes a point to support small local businesses, artists, and they love to give back. In fact, if you have any gently used baby clothes that you’d like to part with, just send them to Tonttu Box (in your Tonttu Box) and they’ll deliver them to families in need.
Subscriptions are $40/month, or less with multi-month commitments. US shipping is free. — For a limited time, you can get a FREE box with the purchase of a 3-month subscription when you use coupon code “FIREWORKS” at checkout!
Let’s see what’s in the August 2016 Tonttu Box!
The box! The little gnome/elf guy in the logo is actually a Tonttu — the Finnish term for a little dwarf who keeps families happy and safe.
A peek inside!
In my case, it usually IS a child crying. 😉
A fold-out info sheet listed all of the items in the box, along with brief descriptions, photos, and retail values for each one.
Amigurumi Toy – ($20) This cute little amigurumi (“knit/crocheted stuffed toy friend”) bunny was handmade by a Russian artist named Lana Voloshenko. He has a very sweet face (complete with expressive eyebrows!) and I love his fluffy white tail. 🙂
Two products from Tulips Apothecary were tucked inside this muslin bag…
Tulips Apothecary Limoncello Pucker Pot ($8) – A handmade lip balm made with natural ingredients including shea & mango butters, castor & sweet almond oils, beeswax, and lemongrass essential oil. It’s super hydrating and smells amazing. Mmm!
Tulips Apothecary Limoncello Lip Scrub Pot ($10) – A 100% natural lip scrub handcrafted with fine grained sugar, moisturizing sweet almond oil, and lemon essential oils. It’s so gentle that you can also use it as a face scrub. And yes, this smells just as amazing as the lip balm above.
Wee Sprout Nature’s Little Squeeze Pouches ($8) – These BPA, PVC, lead, and phthalate free reusable pouches are an eco-friendly alternative to store-bought single-use food pouches. They feature an extra wide opening for easy filling and are both dishwasher and freezer safe.
Druzy Earrings from Dream Owl Druzy ($5) – These handmade druzy earrings look a bit more pink than magenta, but they’re still pretty. 🙂
I’m not sure what age range this Tonttu Box was curated for, but it seems that it would be appropriate for infants through toddler age. I would have liked to see more items for baby and less for mom, but that’s just my preference when it comes to mom & baby boxes. The total retail value for everything was $51. — Remember, for a limited time you can get a FREE box with the purchase of a 3-month subscription when you use coupon code “FIREWORKS” at checkout!
