May ZBOX unboxing time!
ZBOX is a UK-based subscription box that sends you a mystery collection of geeky goodies every month. Each box will feature a new theme — from zombies and the undead to retro games and pop culture — and contain over £35 (roughly $48) worth of exclusive and licensed merchandise. The interior of each month’s box will be designed specifically around the theme and include a little “Easter-egg” for you to seek out.
Subscriptions are $31.58/month (£19.99) and they ship worldwide.

A ZBOX mini mag revealed May’s theme — “Marvellous” [sic] — and included a look at Marvel movie cliches, the evolution of Iron Man & Captain America, and more. It also listed all of the items inside the box, along with brief descriptions of each one.
Visit Asgard T-Shirt – A ZBOX exclusive design, this tee features a detailed image of Asgard, home of the Gods. All I know about Asgard is that Thor lives there (I believe that’s him soaring through the sky?). Also, I couldn’t happen to notice and become quite distracted by that large phallic object near the bottom of the design. Because I’m five.
Captain America: Civil War Falcon POP! Vinyl – Yay! Another Funko POP! to add to my collection. This is an Underground Toys Exclusive featuring Falcon from Captain America: Civil War. I just noticed that he’s a bobble-head and just may be my very first one. Cool.
Spiderman Character Encyclopedia – This jam-packed book was created in full collaboration with Marvel Comics and features a look at more than 200 of Spiderman’s allies and adversaries. The full color pages include profiles, fun facts, original art, and more.
Disney Infinity Rocket Raccoon Figure – A collectible figure of Rocket Raccoon that works with the Disney Infinity 2.0 game. I don’t know much (anything) about Disney Infinity, except that they recently announced that they’ll be discontinuing it. Of course, that doesn’t matter if you just want display the figures as collectibles.
Marvel Bag Tag – Accessorize your backpack or keys with one of these colorful Marvel bag tags. There are 7 designs in all, featuring Spiderman, Captain America, Iron Man, and more.
A great ZBOX this month — especially for Marvel fans. I’m always happy to add another POP! to my collection, no matter the genre. I didn’t do a cost breakdown this month, but I’d say the value is definitely there. Psst… Spoiler alert: The theme for June’s box is “Mutate”!
