Citrus Lane is a monthly subscription for babies/kids aged newborn-5. It’s $29/month (cheaper with longer subs) and includes a nice assortment of toys, books, snacks, toiletries, etc. Sometimes they even include a gift for mom.
This month’s Citrus Lane box included products to pay tribute to Earth Day — as well as Spring in general. Yay, April!
Our box is geared towards a 21-month year old girl and here’s what was inside…
As always, everything was tucked inside their signature yellow tissue paper.
The info card is no longer folded, nor does it include the little paper cut-out letters on top. I was never sure what those letter things were for anyway… Looks like I can finally toss ’em!
The full box!
“Over in the Meadow” Book & CD by Barefoot Books – Certain age groups were given a choice of which book they’d like to receive this month. There were about 5 to pick from and I chose this one. It’s a big, colorful paperback book with a CD that includes the songs in the book. You can also watch animations on the CD with your computer/laptop. Neat! Honestly, I would have preferred a board book, but I don’t mind putting this away for when they’re really ready for it. (Amazon Price: $8.99)
Green Toys Pink Race Car – I love Green Toys! Did we need another toy vehicle? Nope. Did I open it and give it to the girls anyway? Heck yes. All Green Toys are made from 100% recycled plastic milk jugs, are free from BPA/PVC/phthalates, and don’t have any dangerous metal axles, wheels, etc. Plus, they’re super cute. 😉 (Amazon Price: $8.96)
Green Eats Snack Bowls – Green Eats are a line of mealtime products by Green Toys. This is a set of 4 little bowls that are the perfect size for feeding little ones or putting snacks in for toddlers. I’m not crazy about the “school bus yellow” color, but what can ya do. Like the Green Toys, these are also made from 100% recycled milk jugs and are BPA/PVC/phthalate-free. They’re also dishwasher safe. (Amazon Price: $12.52)
Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day Dish Soap – This is a sample size of lemon verbena dish soap. It’s biodegradable and made with “at least 97%” naturally derived ingredients. I love anything citrus, so I’m definitely digging the scent. (Amazon Price: roughly $0.87 for 2 ounces)
There was also an offer for a free greeting card, but you still had to pay tax and postage, so I’m not including it in the review.
This wasn’t the most exciting box, but all of the products will eventually get used. The total of all the items comes to $31.34, which is more than the normal cost of the subscription, but not by much. However, I also used Amazon prices, as opposed to retail, so it’s still a good value. Besides, I pretty much never pay full price for my subscription.
If you’d like to score a great deal, don’t wait! Citrus Lane is having their semi-annual sale and offering savings of up to 44% on subscriptions! But it ends TONIGHT!
3-month subs are $56 (just $18.67/box), 6-month subs are $105 (just $17.50/box), and 12-month subs are $196 (just $16.33/box). Awesome deals!! But hurry — offers are only good until 4/22 (tonight)!

You can also save 20% on your entire shop purchase when and enter the code “EARTH20” at checkout! Hurry — Good this week only!
*As of December 2015, Citrus Lane is no longer in business. If you’re looking for an alternative, bluum is a great choice. — You can see my reviews of them here. With bluum, you can choose your own products and build your own box. They feature the same great brands, plus you can save $10 on your first month with coupon code “MRVA286CCE“.*
Disclosure: I purchased this box on my own. I was not compensated in any way. All opinions are my own. Post may contain affiliate links. Amazon prices subject to change at any time.

The MSRP on the snack bowls is $6.99, and they are available several places for that price (or less). I received the same box and was disappointed in the value.

Woah. Wonder why they’re so much more on Amazon? Weird.

I am so on the fence about Citrus Lane. Our last several boxes have more things I gift away rather than keep. I will give them a couple more months. Thanks for your review. I was wondering about the retail value.

Love your pink car! Overall, CL has been kind of blah for me over the past few months, I am finding Bluum better. I will give it 1 more month, and will probably cancel. Here is my 3 year old box: http://wp.me/p4lGPl-9D
