bluum is a monthly subscription box for babies & kiddos from birth through age 5. Every box will contain 5 or more products that are responsibly sourced, eco-friendly and often organic.
There used to be monthly “themes”, but they’ve recently moved away from that and instead curate each box based upon your child’s current age in months. bluum also just announced that they’ve joined forces with Stork Stack, so anyone who had a subscription with them (Stork Stack) will now be receiving boxes from bluum instead. Interesting.
My girls are currently 20 months old, so the bluum box I received was for 21 months. Let’s see what they sent!
First look. They don’t send a physical info card. Instead they email you a packing list once the box has been delivered. I’d prefer a hardcopy, but what can ya do.
The full box! I was excited to see the Melissa & Doug puzzle & big board book!
Colors Lift the Flap/Pull Tab Board Book by Priddy Books – This is a great board book with fun “lift the flap” and “pull tab” features. It’s a nice, large size and seems pretty sturdy. The girls love these kind of books, so I’m sure it’ll get a lot of use (and more than likely destroyed despite its sturdiness). (Retail Price: $8.99)
Bumkins Reusable Snack Bag – I have a set of these bags in a smaller size that I got in a Citrus Lane box and we use them all the time. They’re perfect to hold things like cereal and puffs when we’re on the go. I really love that they’re machine washable too. (Amazon Price: $4.95)
Toms of Maine Training Toothpaste – We have tons of toothpaste, thanks to sub boxes. Totally not complaining though. We seriously haven’t had to buy any on our own since we started using it. As with the other brands I’ve gotten, this one is all natural and fluoride-free. It’s safe for ages 3-24 months. (Amazon Price: $6.62)
Melissa & Doug Fresh Start Peg Puzzle – We have a few Melissa & Doug puzzles and I love ’em. The girls on the other hand, aren’t quite sold. They really, really want the pieces to go in the places where they decide they should go (as opposed to where they actually FIT). Eh… They’ll come around. (Amazon Price: $7.99)
Klorane Dry Shampoo with Nettle – This is the “mom” item for the month. I’ve never used dry shampoo before, and I can’t really say that I’d want to. Not using actual water just seems weird to me. I dunno. The can says that it absorbs oil within 25 seconds, restores volume, and (obviously) saves time. It’s actually pretty expensive, so maybe I’m missing out? (Amazon Price: $18.52)
The total of the items in this box comes to $47.07, which is almost DOUBLE the cost of a monthly subscription! Definitely another win for me!
If you’d like to sign up for bluum, you can save 50% off your first box. Boxes are normally $24.95, but by using the link, your first month will be only $12.47! If you decide you don’t like it, you can cancel anytime. 🙂
